Just a few bits to get you going.. Plenum or T.B's Alternator and mount Exhaust Bell housing Engine mounts Engine loom Wet or dry sump Gearbox input shaft ECU New coolant hose set and maybe a rad Raceline may be able offer you a package deal. Jason

Hi Kev the yellow 7 I sold had a BGH with a very long first and a lovely box. The BGH I have now has a long first but not as long as the first one and I can feel the difference. Also for some reason the current one is noisy compared with the first although this may just be me looking for an excuse to fit the better ratios I ordered my SPC box today and want it yesterday so I'm out of a bulk buy, sorry. I still need a donor box though if anyone has one

Malcolm that one in in the 7 at the moment and it's lovely thank you I want to get one made with different ratios over the winter but SPC need a donor. Jason

I need to get hold of a 5 speed gearbox so I can get in rebuilt with my ratios so can be knackered! thanks Jason

I am 99% sure the holes are the same size and in the same place. But If you are really lucky then they will be in a different place and then you have a great excuse to get a decent 4-2-1 made and ditch the cheeseman offering in the for sale section

Alan Assuming you have Econoseal connectors on the inside of the plug there is a yellow thing with holes in where the connection pins go through, this pulls out to reveal some tiny clips that hold the wires in the connector. Using a watch makers screwdriver you can push the clips back and the wires pull out. Jason

the flanges just unclip from inside the diff and then pull out, then our driveshafts push in. But it wouldn't be much good anyway as it's a normal sierra LSD and the people who know say they are no good in our 7's. Jason

The Siemens 690 injectors are actually really good even low down. The spray pattern is supposed to be very good indeed. I've built two engines using them and both are very drivable.

Personally I'd turn the throttle pot back until it idles fine but the sensible people among us will tell you to bung it on a trailer. Jason

BGH are I think the only people that do heavy duty syncros for type 9's. I'd speak to them. jason

This stops it moving forward. The P clips are better replaced by a more sturdy Mikalor rubber lined one too as the originals have be known to break. Don't CR500 tyres have Kevlar reinforcement in them to save weight? I hope they haven't took the Kevlar out and replaced with something else heavier to save money . Jason

Caterham told me that only approved companies can fit and that wires are not colour coded so that amateur fitting is virtually impossible. Peter Not quite true, although all the wires are black they are marked at the ends when new. If you are working on one that someone else fitted the the wires are colour coded inside the box. Amateur fitting is easy, There are 7 wires, a perm live, ig switched live and two pairs to break two circuits, one of which must be live when the engine is cranking. There is also one other for a door pin switch which is obviously not fitted on a 7. I've fitted two and I really do rate them. Jason

Depending on what dampers you have you might have to machine down the heads on some M10 bolts to mount the cage as the buckets on the imperial chassis are deeper putting them closer to the damper. Imperial cage bolts have bolt heads which are about 3mm thick for this reason. J
