  1. Mark 355 has a grey and red scheme similar to what you are suggesting
  2. Or just buy a pair 185/60 A021s for the front have a look at the tyre size chart on Polleys site to see exactly how much diameter you would be gaining. Nick here
  3. Micheal The big question (other than reliability for you) is how much power 🤔 Assuming that you moved from a Maxiflow 2 iron head to a Maxiflow 2 alloy head with the same cam - was there a direct comparison of power due to the improved ports and valve spacing? Nick
  4. Putting a key on the dash exposes it to the elements that it is protected from under the dash. Edited by - Doh!Nut on 13 Mar 2006 18:04:04
  5. If you want bling then you want the braided hose option with the little alloy fittings
  6. I was not really paying attention 😳 I think it was between 5 and 10% but as I had just found I could get some nice blue hose for half the price of silicone that could be used for water or fuel (which std silicone cant) the trip was already a success. 😬 Nick
  7. Was in Vulcan on saturday and had a good rummage around the workshop. They had an as recieved alloy cylinderhead ready for unpgrading to Maxiflow2. I had only seen it in the Burton catalogue but it is made in the US by a manifold company. It is imported by WebCon (WeberCarbs) firstly it is very light in comparision with the standard head, secondly the valve centers are more widely spaced so there is more meat between the valves which reduces the cracking tendancy. - Not that you would really get cracking as both the inlet and exhaust have seat inserts. From the tuning point of view there is a lot of scope to enlarge the ports. I will have to go back and see what kind of power it makes - it is going into a Mk2/Mk3 Caterham. I had just driven up from Think auto where I got a good price on some hoses and then he reminded me of the club discount A good morning all in all 😬 Nick
  8. Coffee Cigarettes Latex gloves Well its friday afternoon 😬
  9. All this does assume that you can get hold of the disk with correct bolt pattern, diameter and offset at the correct price and you caliper will accept the vented width 😳 and it can be mounted with the correct offset and reach. Where are you thinking of getting the disk from? Nick here
  10. If its a lever one to the right of the windscreen then it is the #Flasher# and not required for MOT. mine has remained broken for about 6 years 😳 Replacements Maplin - kingston or JWhiting (2nd plug of the day from me - fishing for a discount ) here
  11. I need/Want to replace all the hoses and clamps on my fuel system and cooling system. So I need some ~10mm clamps for HP fuel ~20mm clamps for Low Pressure fuel / breather hoses / heater hoses ~50mm clamps for Cooling hoses. I would like quality stainless jubilee clips at a reasonable cost Any suggestions 🤔 Nick
  12. Just to clarify the tyres donation is still required my apology donation would be separate Tyres are at Steve Polleys up the M11 I suggest these tyres remain the property of the original poster until the buyer has spoken directly with him. Nick
  13. It is becoming increasingly obvious that I am unable to pick up these tyres in a reasonable timeframe 🙆🏻 I would like to withdraw my offer I am sorry to bugger people about and will give a donation to NtL as an appology Blade runner it is over to you. Nick

  17. Take one to the bolt shop 🤔 But I have got to ask why do you need longer ones 🤔 Nick
  18. You will need a manifold Jenvey do Direct to head TBs for the K so there is *no* demand for a manifold to fit SFs You will need a custom manifold The price of a custom manifold would be more than the difference in price between these TB and some DTH TB. Are they good value for you? probably not However - Jenvey do not do DTH for the Zetec (and many other engines) They do a manifold to fit 4*SF to the zetec therefore you have a *DTH* system for the zetec for reasonable I am sure Adil was looking at updrading his ECU recently Nick

    Heater Switch

If you have the flat type heater then there is a resitor on the underside of the lid. 2 wires come out of the switch and into the heater - one full speed one directly to the motor and one half speed one that connects via the resistor. Nick
  21. Removal is easy - usual swearing and jiggling of pipes but fine. Alloy wheel cleaner takes the shiney brown back to dull silver. Up by the engine the pipes are more likey to be a darker brown which the wheel cleaner may or may not make an impact on. A spindle and mop kit to fit on the end of a bench grinder was about 10-£15 from a kit car show. The bits that were shiney brown you can get very polished The bits that were matt brown I did not have the time/enery / inclination / adrasive mop to get back to silver, and you dont see them anyway Nick
  22. Blatmail belatedly sent Nick
  23. Under the section of transmition (Prop-shaft) brakes - Mechanical Parking To avoid possible damage, the parking brake efficiency requirement should be calculated using the appropriate vehicle weight before the brake is tested. Testing of the brake should cease as soon as the minimum efficiency requirement is reached when progressively applying the brake. Looks good for a NormanV style brake. Nick
  24. The Emerald is a close to plug compatible as you are going to get. They have also done VVC K series before so you may be able to get hold of a map saving yourself (most) of a mapping session. Nick
  25. Can I have 1st dibs please will blatmail Nick
