  1. 1. about 10 mm I think 2. No - or at least you would need to change the channels that the tank sits in to be propper. The new method is a peice of angle iron running along the top front edge of the tank and diagonal rods pulling it down and back to secure it As a bit of a bodge you could rivet a little watsit onto the channels to secure the end of the rod - IYSWIM Nick
  2. Photos to be sent as requested when I get home this evening Nick
  3. Four Off minilite style wheels 13*6inch DeDeon Black center - Silver rim 2 almost perfect 2 v slight kerbing has caused slight misting of laquer if you look closely NEW PRICE £180 here West london Edited by - Doh!Nut on 31 May 2006 12:56:54
  4. I am about to install floor mounted seats for the first time in this car. I have got the runners and the re-enforcing channels ££ 🙆🏻 I am looking for maximum runner travel to allow SWMBO to drive so I am thinking along the lines of Mount seat on runners with appropriate spacers to get it reclined etc. Push the seat back until it hits the rear bulkhead Put the stationry bit of the runners all the way forward and sort of mork through the holes to find out where to drill - my procedure gets a bit wishy washy after that Or are there some exact dimenetions already worked out that I should know about Nick here
  5. *arrowup*Post suggests it may require repacking 😬
  6. Given that petrol leaks affect the coating over time it might be worth a go to slosh some around - weather it is pracitacal or safe is or cource another matter 😬
  7. But as the valve is closed for a lot longer than it is open you dont have to be at the exact peak of lift for the 9-n valve to be closed. If in doubt advance and retard the engine a bit and recheck if it is unchanged then You had it right nick
  8. Can wicked wheels (or whoever) refurbish a set you have ?
  9. Ben I would be rather surprised if you had to do that, and somewhat nervous of making any cuts into a steering component. The track rod ends are the only other place where you can affect the steering, Check there is the same thread showing on each track rod. By counting the turns you could center the wheels without changing the toe-in. Of cource this assumes that the rack itself is centered. If you have the alloy rack this should be impossible to be offcenter - if it is the old steel rack it is possible for the rack to be offcenter. Nick
  10. Roger that would be good home now Nick
  11. Roger Yes in this evening 7pm on ish. 0208*241*1718 any chance you could bring your digimate - do a compare and contrast ( 😳) to check I dont have a duff screen and pick up the monitor? Or if you dont fancy moving it I could come round to you Nick
  12. OK Condition good/very good 2 very good 2 have very slight kerbing marks which has created small patches of misted laquer on two of the wheels Photos to follow - in general I would say that the wheels look very good and only close inspection would reveal imperfections I am looking for £200 +p/p CR322s have only done a few hundred miles 6+mm tread - even if you dont want them there is a market for them with the racers. I would prefer not to remove them from the rims as there would be a cost for me to do that where if you are replacing them with new tyres they would be removed for *free* Where abouts are you based? I may be travelling west at the weekend Nick
  13. James whiting to take it out and send it to Vulcans 🤔 Nick

  15. Now Sold Thanks for the (offline) interest Steve That will have to wait till next year As I unloaded my wheels SWMBO rather quickly worked out "So you will be having to buy some tires for those then" 😬 I loudly told her I had sold the seat at Stonleigh - but RiF waved some sill protectectors under my nose while I was carrying the cash for the seats - you work out what happened 🙆🏻 Nick
  16. Maybe have a set of 4 * 6inch as above (with CR322s) Assuming the 7s that I have just got fit on the back of mine. could check and take to stoneleigh if you are quick Nick
  17. SIP Gassless For sale at £180 at Stoneleigh £60 Nick To clarify this offer is resticted to electro mechanical device only and any suggestion that a welding facilitiator (paid or unpaid) is included in this offering is misleading and refuted entirely. Edited by - Doh!Nut on 2 May 2006 08:45:04

  20. And this is so special that it is worth importing 🤔 I am sure you would not have been taking in by advertising describing significant power increases
  21. You have a 5 speed so I think you could be 99% certain it is 3.9 What was your MPH per 1000 rpm in top?
  22. Thinking of doing this on a Clio No probs as far as identifying the valve for filling but. The "expensive" kit from halfords give a guage with a crude looking pressure guage. The cheap kit is just an aerosol and no guage Guessing that the system will be empty what is the risk and potential damage from overpressuring the system? Nick
  23. I have some adjustable leather seats orriginal for that age of car They are not the new S-type Mail me for pics nickpcallen#gmail.com if interested Nick
  24. You could remove the plugs and turn the engine over on the starter until oil pressur shows and recheck level Nick
