  1. Sorry, I'm a much less frequent visitor to BC than I used to be. Thank you to Ian for bringing this to my attention. I would be interested in the Esprit manual assuming it is the service manual and not just parts and it covers S1 from 1977. I am considering embarking on a nuts and bolts rebuild of my S1 so will need a workshop manual. I'll also need to check what I already have but I'm fairly sure I haven't bought one yet. Cheers, Nifty
  2. Jonathan, If I'm not too late could I order 2 canisters and 2 black tool rolls please ? Thank you, Nifty
  3. Evening Dave. Nice to meet you .... briefly. Might have been a bit longer had my father holed the hull - that was some collision !! A little rough since he decided to take the helm for the first time in that lock - pushed the throttle hard forward to try to turn whilst carrying too much initial speed. Michael and I had him sorted by the end of the day. By the way, can't remember if it was one of your flight but there was a lady at one of the locks selling pickles etc for Great Ormond Street. We got chatting (Dad worked there in the 60s) and Cathy and I bought some beetroot and ginger chuckney and some piccalilli. Both were superbly delicious and we fancy buying some more if we can track her down and get in touch. Missed the Anderton Lift museum unfortunately as it was closed . Will have to go back for another trip
  4. Has anyone fitted a lithium ion battery to their 7 ? I'm very interested in doing this and wonder what anyone's views were. I have heard they cannot be jump started as a normal battery can .. but then they should be less suscepptible to battery drain so providing they are being charged correctly when running this should be one of the benefits, as well as cranking current and weight. Would like to put one in the Esprit too as this has a very heavy, hard to access lead acid lump in the rear corner that constantly drains down and requires jumping.
  5. It's "classic" Simon, like our cars ❗ P.S. Put me down for No. 44 please Edited by - Nifty on 28 Aug 2014 13:37:44
  6. I "won" a Honda F1 race suit in a charity auction (the auctioneer - a friend - picked a bid off the wall behind me, no-one responded and he marked it down to me ❗ ). It is mildly too big for me and I fit all your size criteria apart from being 5' 10". You are welcome to it for a sensible donation to NTL + P&P. Can send photos if you Blatmail me with your E-mail address.

Geof, From a previous conversation, did you say it has a full floor, as this will be another added extra (if I am correct). Nifty
  8. Oooh .. you got me excited for a minute there Dikko ❗ I think a Europa would complete my collection .. but not sure I want to buy another half built car with half the parts missing - I have an S1 Esprit like that (half built that is, all the bits are there).
  9. I'll take the draught reducer please. Nifty.
  10. Sorry Richard, my fault this time, didn't come back and check the thread. Will resend but may also text / ring. Cheers, Nifty
  11. Mark, I could be interested in the headlights if they are corrosion free. Could you link to the pics when they are up please, or send me a Blatmail
  12. Richard, I may be interested. I'll send you a blatmail. Nifty
  13. I have absolutley no idea if this is still available (advertisement dated 1st September) but fell across it whilst doing one of my occassion searches for a steering wheel for my Esprit S1 and thought that it might prick someone's interest on here. lotusforsale.com advertisement
