  1. You would have to be using an alternator pulley smaller than 64mm and and really high rpm to kill the alternator with high rpm.

    R400 Oil Pressure

Is this a Duratec engine with an MBE ecu, if so ECU may be linked so the pressure can be logged.
  3. I think if you look at the clamps introduced at least 2 years ago you will see they can be fitted with either the standard position or if reversed they have a 9mm lift.
  4. Fans are ECU controlled
  5. How long before you have to change it again, I find it hard to believe a session on the rollers would kill the oil.

    half hood

Half hood for S3 with standard roll bar.
  7. The 2.3 will fit with the standard cam cover and standard engine mounts.
  8. The IGN wire needs to be a switched live. Taking the feed from the starter will mean the alternator has a constant feed even with the ignition switched off.

  13. Hi John, yes that sender should work if its the same as the one you are using for the water temp gauge. The blue plug is also the correct one.
  14. The sender unit is usually fitted to the large blue plug that holds the finger filter, near the front of the sump just below the alternator.
  15. I really hope Ian B is keeping his car clean!
  16. You can not just loosen the bellhousing, the engine needs to be clear by at least an inch. Also there is a 6mm stud that passes from inside the sump forward through the front cover. Ideally the engine need to be removed. It will a lot easier. Edited by - mic on 16 Mar 2012 13:46:25
  17. You need to separate the engine from the bell housing. Front cover needs to be removed completely. You need to know that nothing on the timing is keyed and this will need to be retuned etc when putting it back together. Drop me an email if you want to talk about this. 18. Seems a big increase for just cams and porting. Cams can't be to wild with the standard pistons. Interesting to see the results.
  19. I think it is this exhaust here As Danny said it was made by Cheesman
  20. Usually M6, that's what all the factory cars have.
  21. Its the male part that is held by the circlip.
  22. You will be very lucky if the cambers are right with the same threads on each side.
