  1. I've been away for a while, is it running sweet ? Jon
  2. Oliver, I meant was it working fine on the MJ previously. Plug leads, I got mine from Triggerwheels. Jon
  3. Oli, I take it you are using these just for non stressed fixings? Stainless can crack and snap under load, where as HTS will bend. Jon
  4. Arch ally blank should be a cheap option. I got a bespoke dash made by Bruce with just the clock holes placed where I wanted them but could not tell you the final price as it was included in my longfront, re-pannel and lowered floor conversion.... Jon
  5. Barry, What are the symptoms you are seeing? Is the fuel pump wired in series to the OPS and if so why ? I have my pump switched through the Fan switch on the dash (no heater fitted), so it isolates the pump when off. OPS are availalbe from BurtonPower. I have a high pressure switch fitted, but as my idle OP is 1Bar at idle and the switch triggers at 2 Bar I get a light on at Idle so will revert back to a standard one at some point. 6. Oliver check the following: 1) Crank sensor to trigger wheel, is the bracket vibrating/lose or the distance too great? 2) Did you use screened cable on trigger sensor, check that the shield is earthed 3) Check all connections ro the Edis and coil pack 4) Check that you are indeed seeing the spark advance (plug in the Laptop) 5) Try a new coil pack and EDIS unit ir Sensor if you have them. Is this a new set up or has it been running fine and now playing up ? Jon
  7. Ah, oh the fun of setting the USB com port... Have a look on Autosprot labs pages and they have a tutorial on setting up the correct USB port for the adapter. This is probably the most tricky part of the MJ instal and catches a lot of folks out. Try here As MOCA2CV states, are you sure the SW is WIN7 compatible 1st... ? I use an old XP laptop and it seems to work fine for me. Jon
  8. To JackFlash.... sticking float valves in the Carbs ? Carbs a little too lose?, engine mounts lose ? Jon
  9. Glad to hear another X-flow is back on the road... Jon
  10. Ebay, about £19 a pair.. I think these are the puppies you want here. Check with the seller the dimensions are correct. Jon
  11. Skip, You have BM from me. Jon
  12. Ahmed, As said above, for a running repair, wirebrush off the lose powdercoat and rust, degrease with some thinners or meths and leave to dry out. Then paint over with Satin Hammerite. Do this before you think of wrapping in tape or rubber tube as they will only hide the current rust and protect from further stone chips, but also allow moisture to gather there... If it is a small amount then just keep patching up until it is time for a strip and re-powder.. Jon
  13. Please keep us updated on what they find. I wonder if they made a mistake when they put it together ? Jon
  14. I have a couple I can send in, where do you want them and can we make a repository somewhere ? :) Edit- just saw the BM bit. My map is for an RK 160 spec engine, but is on the safe side. Would be interested in getting your map after the RR session for comparison. Jon Edited by - jonboylaw on 19 May 2011 12:38:40 Edited by - jonboylaw on 19 May 2011 12:38:54
  15. Just ordered mine, will let you know how I get on.
  16. Go for silicon as above, else you will be changing them every couple of years.
  17. Nylon nuts and bolts here as well. Bought mine from RS components, a few quid for a big bag of them.
  18. As BOSS says, looks cosmetic, but check when running. If leaking then I would expect to see green deposits on the fins, this looks like gravel rash. Welcome to the club BTW. 19. I have a dizzy from a tuned supersprint, complete with coil and rev limiter module for sale if you are interested. Had it set up by some boys in Brum and only ran it a short while before installing a Megajolt system. Let me know if you are interested. 20. If you need a hand with the wiring etc give me a shout. Have multi-meter, will travel. Same for the compressor etc... Who/where/when flatflooring as I need to do mine :) Jonathan ========================= My Flickr Gallery 92 Supersprint, Ford LSD LA, RK AX Crossflow. 21. Get a blo0dy move on Charlie, I want to see the thing move this summer :D Let me know when you need the bonnet, else feel free to pop over and collect it. 22. Also add an isolation switch and also an intertia switch for extra safety. Isolation switch can be concealed and limits the range to the float bowl's contents in case someone take a shine to your car... 23. Chris, I am running AVOs and they seem fine. You may also need to move to a 6inch 1.9ID srping depending on waht you have on at the moment. I also Ran GAZ for a while and they were fine, just not Rose Jointed like the AVOs I got. Hope all is well. 24. As Oliver says, if you zero the advance at 0 - 200 RPM, it goes to the default on the EDIS which is around 6 degrees I think and that should be fine for cranking. Either the map is out or your trigger wheel/sensor is not set at the correct angle. Jonathan ========================= My Flickr Gallery 92 Supersprint, Ford LSD LA, RK AX Crossflow.
