  1. Boing... I can post some photos of the lens and the effects it gives if anyone interested.
  2. I did exactly that, bought it back from the insurers and stripped her. Chassis back to arch for a long front and complete re panel. Then rebuilt her. All pretty easy to do. Jon
  3. Check out pole-volt for the mini econo-seal conectors. You will need to buy a good ratchet crimping tool to get a good quality crimp, these are around £20.
  4. Did nobody get an aero for Christmas ??
  5. I am selling a MK1 Lensbaby, canon fit. Hardly used, with all aperture rings, tool and box. If you don't know what this is, it is a manual focus lens (squeeze focus)that offers great creativity. It gives you a sweet spot with lots of fall off. Sweet spot position is adjustable. Yours for £65 inc postage. Jon
  6. Hi Jason, I thought it might be a long shot, thanks for letting me know. Merry Crimbo. Jon
  7. Hi Jason, Do you have any spares left over from the purchase? I have been offered a frame and stanchions but would need new glass. Cheers, Jon
  8. Guys, I am seeking a winscreen and stanchions for an S3 imperial chassis to go on my spare scuttle. Any servicable screen considered. Jon
  9. Quick question, were the brakes bedded in? if not then any measurement is irrelevant at this time.
  10. Charlie, I would not solder the wires, this makes the wires inflexible and likely to fatigue and fail with age/vibration. Also using a chocolate block will be a lot less reliable than a specially designed automotive connector. I would look at Polevolt or other automotive component supplies and get a male/female connector combo. I have a good quality crimping tool you are welcome to borrow. How many wires is it ? Jon
  11. No probs mate, surem nip over when you like, you can get the compressor as well if you need it still. Just let me know when you plan to come so I can make sure I am in. I am off until 6th Jon
  12. Charlie, I still have that old bonnet if you need it.
  13. Does it only blow the fuse when the lights are on ? If so check the bulb holder that goes into the speedo or tacho. I had a short on this and it kept blowing fuses all the time.
  14. wow... €18K for that!!!
  15. I think this is the 12V feed to the coil. I think I used this as the 12v feed to my megajolt. I can go an check later if it is important. Jon
  16. Ditto, looking for interesting M42 (screw fit) glass. Zeiss or equiv fast lens (f1.4) 35mm, 50mm or 85mm Jon
  17. I am looking for some pocket wizards (MiniTT1 and FlexTT5s?) and softbox/strobist accesories/stands etc... anyone got anything available? Canon fitting please
  18. There is a ratchet cam on the mechanism. You lift the ratchet and allow the pads to slide in, put the drums on and then they self adjust when you apply the breaks. I have a Mk2 escort Haynes manual so I could reference the appropriate pages for you. Send me a BM.
  19. Good news on finding the fault.. Was it a noisy supply caused by diode bread down ?
  20. Eric, I am a little confused here, did you have the engine re-build after the 1st failure, only to have it fail again? And the second failure was due to the engine fitter not putting any oil in it ? I think you should be avoiding this mechanic in future... That was real hard luck. Jon
  21. double post... Edited by - jonboylaw on 1 Sep 2011 15:01:47
  22. Check the steering column as it passes by the engine mounts etc... it might be coming into contact with the DS pump or mounts. I am not an expert on the Duratec setup but on my Xflow the colum was just touching the DS pump and I had the same symptoms. Easily fixed with a washer under the engine mount where it rests on the rubber.... Edited by - jonboylaw on 1 Sep 2011 15:02:18
  23. Square peg in a round hole.... some square section tapered bar that will bite into the taper and then twist and pull....
  24. I seem to remember it requires the complete Honda drive train and it rotates the wrong way... An expensive option. but I could be talking out my 🙆🏻 Edited by - jonboylaw on 26 Aug 2011 10:11:14
