  1. As above, utter carp and their MD is a complete knoob. Search the internet for EBC Brakes MD customer service...
  2. I am selling a Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 Ultrawide angled lens for Canon APSC camera. The lens is in great condition, about 1 year old, complete with front and rear caps, lens hood (rose), soft case and original box. All optics clear, scratch free etc., minimal signs of usage. If you are looking for a lens for landscape or architectural shots then this one is a real beauty, the distortion it creates allows you to get really creative. For further details or example photos (well you can look at my flickr site), please PM me. £300 + P&P Edited by - jonboylaw on 21 Aug 2012 09:42:37 Edited by - jonboylaw on 21 Aug 2012 10:25:06
  3. LSD was the best upgrade I made to mine, great fun now getting the back end out ;)
  4. Hi Les Pretty hard spring rates for a K, mine is running 320 or 350 on front I think, rears are 110 i think, but I am live axle and an x/f. Drop us a line sometime. Jon
  5. I left the key switch in-line as an extra safetly factor. Was a very easy instal. Jon
  6. Nearly there then Charley... I bought a compressor driven wax injector kit if you want to give the chassis a blast. Jon
  7. Can you be a little more descriptive. it is engine hesitating or drive train shunt? If engine then it is either fuel or ignition. First check if any fuel filter is clean and that the carbs are seated correctly. How long ago were the carbs services? they may have crud in them, or the float may be punctured so the bowls are not filling correctly, also check for crud in the jets and that the accelerator pump diaphragm is not split. Are you running mechanical or electrical fuel pump? if mechanical, check that it is operating correctly, check for split diaphragm. Are the cabs synchronized ? Electrical, Dizzy or 3d electronic? Points or electric sensor? Check all leads and swap the coil if you can get one, also check all plugs for electrode breakdown. Has it been damp recently? is the battery fully charged...check the points etc.. Just a few pointers to be getting along with.
  8. Anything made from rubber, like the isolation mounts on the radiator and exhaust, also the engine mounts and gearbox mounts, plus all suspension bushes. It will make the world of difference.
  9. You really need to use an Acid Primer to form an inert layer prior to painting. There are plenty of rust treatments out there that will also act a a primer. Jon
  10. As MOCA, the OBP battery clamp the the bulkhead. I had to trim the bracket back slightly to allow the connectors to fit without fouling. Jon Edited by - jonboylaw on 27 Feb 2012 13:54:18 Edited by - jonboylaw on 27 Feb 2012 13:54:40
  11. Paul, You are right, I was thinking of the standard garage floor paint, not the ePoxy stuff. How do they stop the paint from curing in the tin? or is it a 2 part ? Edited by - jonboylaw on 3 Feb 2012 10:55:53
  12. It worked fine for me, the roller is pre-loaded then as well :D BTW Lidl were selling 5l of epoxy floor paint in differing shades of grey for £15 last week.
  13. Paul, you can wrap the head in cling film between coats.
  14. Final Boing before going on ebay. Jon
  15. I made my own rough and ready camber gauge using a digital level (with magnet), a length of steel bar and 3 bolts and 6 nuts. Total cost about £10. You will also need a flat floor.
  16. Mavic82, I used these uprights on my rebuild when moving from Trunnions to the latest spec. The parts are good quality, service excellent and half the price of Caterham. Well worth considering. Jon
  17. Bob, I suspect it is still live, get a bulb on it and test it. If not then you should be able to Run a wire from T15 on the Ignition switch to the relay. I have my T15 out to a master power switch (Aircraft flip toggle switch). Yes the -ve went to the Tacho, I used the tacho output on the MJ to drive the Techo without problems.
  18. Jonathan, Take it back, I am lost for words, what do you want from me? Kerrchang... triple score!
  19. Just checked, it is a White lead and is connected to Terminal 15 of the ignition switch. Use a volt meter to check it is switched. Cheers, Jon
  20. On my Megajolt installation I use the coil +ve feed as the ECU supply. This is switched via the ignition and hot in run. I think it is a White lead with Black Trace and emerges somewhere near the carbs, but would need to look at the wiring diagram. Jon
  21. Search for plastidip rubber paint. Brush off the rust, apply the primer then a few thick coats of this and you are away. See this thread for more info here Jon Edited by - jonboylaw on 23 Jan 2012 22:33:04
