  1. I had some headers done by Zircotec, it was 1 K for a V8 engine so a 4 cyl would about half of that i guess. I went trough Merlin Motorsport.
  2. Don't you have a screen where you can see the weights of each wheel ? i have a button for each scale so i can activate or deactivate and see the weight in diagonal or even by side or in total. Linear springs demand a different rake than progressive springs BTW the rake for progressive springs is 35mm and another myth is that you can use a bag of sand to replicate the human body weight and that is not mine statement but it was a engineer at Van Amerfoort Racing claiming that it was a pity they need te driver in the seat as otherwise they could set up the chassis without even the need of the driver. place the screen close enough to you so you can read the numbers and take note
  3. Update, i bought this ignition barrel https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-LR039638P it did fit without problems, as stated before the little grup screw is not exactly the same but it was close enough. The biggest difference was that the ign on ( white wires ) only had 1 terminal where the old one had 2.
  4. Can't you post a pic ? the spindle of mine goes trough the same hole as would the cable, and has no eccesive play.
  5. StevehS3 Revolution are cheaper even without discount and they also have ML style wheels but the ML is only in Ford spec. clearance prices here : https://revolutionwheels.com/wheel-clearance-sale/
  6. A Red top 20 will do the job and i think it's the same height of a Banner battery, with a wooden block you can space out the width.
  7. And live axle different to DD.
  8. I have a Varley that is 15 years old, after 1 year i was able to start my engine.
  9. First make sure the tyre pressure is ok. I set the front dampers equal to the required ride height at the front then the rake at 1,0 cm for lineair springs and 1,5 cm for progressive springs, both rear damper platforms at equal height. then ad 2 turns up on the driver side only. Now you put the 7 on the scales and position your display close enough so you can read it while sitting in the seat and take note on a sheet. I have a Word doc where you can fill in all the weights if you send me a pm i forward it to you or if someone is able to insert a printable Word doc on this page that would be nice
  10. I have made a spring compressor from a car jack, no hassle anymore.
  11. The bolt from the harness should go trough the boot cover, be care full as the alloy inside the boot cover isn't much wider than the hole required for the harness bolt.
  12. At the rear you can use the rear silencer fixing points to make a fixed support for the rear square tube, in that tube you slide another tube for the control line , at the end of the smaller bar you cut a slot so that the line doesn't move. This smaller bar is fixed with a butterfly bolt. At the front use ARB blocks on the lower wishbone to fix the support tube. And if you are in a hurry to check the rear on a live axle then clamp a 2m square tube to the rear disc both sides and measure toward the chassis front and back.
  13. Mr Chapman would say that the company should be honored to supply Lotus and therefore sell it for the price of a Banner
  14. Got a swift reply from powertrackbrakes, they can't supply the reservoir separately but the whole pump is 125,00 +20% VAT
  15. R300 ( Duratec ) 2003 vintage is 604 kg with 1/2 fuel no spare wheel no windscreen but with the track day cage 0n 15" wheels with Toyo R888R
  16. Does anyone know where to find this kind of brake master reservoir ? new or used ?
  17. You could try to contact Red Dot and see if they have a suitable pad. http://www.reddotracing.co.uk/aboutus.asp
  18. I gap the plugs at 0,9mm, works just fine.
  19. Holts speedflush say's that after using this you need to refill with coolant and radweld, maybe this is just a disclaimer ? that is why i never used it.
  20. When i used to run a hose from the waterpump to the cylinder head on my BDR it warmed up less eratic than without that link. The bottle i use on conversions to a closed system is this on https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-DACIA-DUSTER-LOGAN-SANDERO-RENAULT-CLIO-KANGOO-COOLANT-EXPANSION-TANK-BOTTLE/273003258146?fits=Car+Make%3ARena and the 1 piece hose with 90 degree bend that goes right up to the expansion bottle from the thermostat housing, i think pretty sure that it's from an Escort MK2000 MK1
  21. https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/gold-plug-magnetic-sump-plug-with-m14-x-1-5-thread-ap-02
  22. For the thermostat housing in 23, if you cut the small tube, drill and tap you can use a banjo for a neat installation.
  23. Dunno why you want to hang on to individual throttle body's as it's forced induction, this is a nice induction installation.
  24. The black is an insulating block, to prevent the heat from the block transferring into the mechanical fuel pump.
