  1. James, if you ditch your old master cylinder i am always interested in the reservoir.
  2. So a locking nut should do the trick.
  3. I would ask Arch to use 2 tubes instead of the plate just to add lightness. I think it's 200 ish for the Caterham modifications to the axle.
  4. Another option would be to keep your existing master cylinder and change the front calipers to Hi-Spec 4 pots, much lighter better feel and about the same price of a AP master cylinder.
  5. Back to the future then, Saab in the 50's and amongst others had curtains before the radiator to control aiflow and with doing so the tempurature these curtains where adjusted from inside the cockpit.
  6. Yes one uses the dipstick tube for extraction oil, the warmer the better it goes but with an electric pump there are limits unlike a system that relies on vacuum.
  7. Your SIB should slide just out exept that often some sealant is used to avoid water ingress there fore you will need to break this sealant. Your front suspension is std Graduates classic and works just fine, i can't say that a DD top 1 piece wishbone will fit your chassis but your suspension works fine as is.
  8. Ed, i have a refurbished Caterham casing and various diff bits, but they are in Belgium, dunno in these Covid times but maybe GONADS could work, depends if you are in a hurry or not.
  9. A go-Pro inside an airbox
  10. Why not contact revolution wheels, they do a specific Caterham wheel in 13" so must be able to give you some advice in what wheel to use in 15' https://revolutionwheels.com/
  11. Volvo Cars only use Nordlock washers where no loctite is used.

    Brakes

On a Caterham the wheel is not supported by the hub, it's supported only by the bolts. That gives more strain on the bolts therefore i do them up at 100Nm, never lost a wheel or had to fasten a wheel nut during a track day. I do have to say that i only use wheel with steel inserts.

    Brakes

At Croix in France the limit for std brakes is 150bhp above that you need vented rotors. BTW Hi-Spes does a vented rotor for 13" wheels

    Misfire

Can't see how overfilling would affect the crank trashing on what seems a dry sump ? what where the weather conditions on your stop ?
  15. it all depends on the size of the turbo and the boost used, i drove a 1.4 K series turbo and it was very linear but i have to say it didn't made huge horsepower ( my guess was about 160 bhp ) In the wrong hands any Caterham could be lethal
  16. Or put the ign switch on the dash, or even in the wedge next to the dash.
  17. There is only a possibility that it would block when the engine is not running. If you bleed the system and massage the hoses coolant will get trough as the pressure created by massaging would be high enough to let the air past the ball.

  19. Just a Q why did u use the slotted side of the insert on the ball side ? isn't there a risk that your brass ball would get damaged buy the slots ?
  20. Nothing has changed then in all the years since the 7 is in production
  21. The RST V6 torque was already outside the capability of the Sadev so this V8 will surely be.
  22. This is a 30mm QR piece, looks well made https://www.i-mania.be/universeel-billet-aluminum-thin-versie-auto-steering-wheel-quick-release-kit-met-security-lock-voor-modified-en-racing-car.html?fee=6&fep If you don't want the extra 30mm added to your boss you could have the original turned down and have a plate welded to it to accept this QR
  23. It would help if you know what car it came from.
