  1. You could always use an octane booster https://www.carbibles.com/best-octane-boosters-reviewed/
  2. This https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brake-Master-cylinder-Boot-VW-Beetle-and-Type2/371436627409?hash=item567b5925d1:g:oN4AAOSwT2dZ~IPy or this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-car-master-cylinder-boot-Lockheed-No-88457-/153444724953 and this is the one https://picclick.co.uk/Girling-Master-Cylinder-Short-Seal-Dust-Cover-301355867089.html
  3. I use the Lucas LRS110 (1.4kw) for the X Flow and this should also fit the K series but i never fitted one on a K series. This starter is smaller than the old Bosch one and not expencive.
  4. Other under the DD tube or modify the axle stand that it is flat on top then glue a piece of rubber ( tyre tube ) on the top and now you can place it in the rearmost outer corner of the seat floor.
  5. Nothing is permanent if you live in beer country no1 then everything is alcohol related.
  6. Mintex M 1144 works fine on std calipers, your slotted disc's will surely help cooling but if the mountain pass has a lot of hairpins then it might be a case that the system overheats due to the lack of airflow that would cool the disc and caliper. vented rotors with 4 pot calipers would possible be the cure and then you have 2 options, the heavy and more expensive one is CC, the lighter and with much better pedal feel and also cheaper option is Hi-Spec. for this later option i have the parts codes ( disc, rotor, alloy bell ) for a plug and play system.
  7. It doesn't matter what the paint supplier is the colour must be the same, however for this colour there is a B variant this means there is a bluer version of the std colour. edit to say it's a 2C but you need a red primer if you use Sikkens paint.
  8. Aldon is the way foreward https://www.aldonauto.co.uk/ignition
  9. If you would look at any car paint manufacture the the Lamborghini code 0117 should give you Arancio Argos
  10. Maybe Gregs79 his sump is still for sale, below a copy of his post 8th Dec 2019 - 15:50 #6 Gregs79 Offline Last seen: 1 week 1 day ago Joined: 17/04/2014 Send PM I also have one available if required.
  11. https://www.lambocars.com/pnt/lamborghini_paint_codes.html beware it looks like it's a 3 coat system
  12. Skilled painters will match off the car rather than the code. That is if the paint is applied correctly and the colour is not to difficult for the computer to give the right colour formulation otherwise a sample has to be send to the paint manufactors.
  13. Water injection was used on some Sierra Cosworth rally cars in the day.
  14. The 4 stroke petrol piston engine has his limitations regarding materials used and unless the came up with materials that can withstand higher temperatures it will never be an effective engine, Maybe the best effort in a production car is the Honda Civic CCVC and that dates back to the 70's and might be the best lean burn production piston engine. Car manufactors has successfully reduced emissions but fuel consumption it did not achieve, a diesel Citroen C 15 does 5ltr/100km and it, more than 20 years old, agreed it offers low crash protection and therefore is light.
  15. If it would make it into a transport of some sort i see it more as a engine that generates electricity. Lets say in an electric semi to charge the battery's on longer runs to remote areas therefore this engine can always run in his optimum window
  16. It will be more work but you could drill the bolt with a 2mm drill and use an R clip, and to prevent any rattle use a spring under the cover over the fixing bolt and to prevent wear on the cover where the R clip sits glue ( sikaflex ) a washer to it.
  17. It would not to everyone's taste but what about mudflaps on the front wings ?
  18. Didn't know that but i wonder how much extra weight it has over a stock Banjo? anyway too heavy for a 7
  19. I would ask Arch to rework it to a 5 link with short radius arms, using the std chassis mounts the only thing to do is build a Panhard rod support on the chassis side witch can be done without drilling or welding on a 2000 spec live axle , works so much better than the A frame and even DD set up. An Englisch axle "can" take 250bhp with some strenghtening, you can get pretty big halfshafts into the tube ( 32 or 36mm from memory ) i have 3J big halfshafts in the 7 for circuit and GP4 halfshafts on the street 7 the 3J halfshafts where so big i had to open up the baffle slightly. And the big halfshafts also bring the wheel slightly more outwards.
  20. 7woth, i didn't know you could alter a banjo axle like they do with an Atlas axle.
  21. The Escort axle is smaller than an Ital axle, i would go for 7" rears it just looks so much better. About offset i guess the std Ford rally spec.
  22. it's no big job to switch the buckle yourself.
