  1. Now being run by Linda Bushell
  2. I have the centre push and mine has recently failed for a different reason. The spring loaded contact on the wheel boss was touching just the outer few mm of the copper ring, with a bit of an overhang. The tip of the contact had worn leaving a lip on one side and eventually this lip tag touched the plastic surrounding the copper ring causing the horn to become intermittent/non existant. Removed the sprung contact and introduced the tip to Mr File and it's all working fine again.
  3. Will start that build bog this week I found that a bucket in the corner of the garage was sufficient...
  4. Will you take £20 for the Kenwood?
  5. Ouch! Are those just depressions or has it worn right through the crown of the follower?
  6. Or you can get bosses with a weld-on slug. e.g.Lifeline or RapFix

  8. Too good a deal to miss? Or too good to be true? I do hope it is just an IT glitch....

  10. Yep, passed OK despite the wind on Monday (F6/7 with wind against tide)
  11. What is the sump gasket mod? Try this thread
  12. I thought it ought to be green/yellow with red interior too... but it was blue ☹️
  13. P15 ONR with hood up. Were you there for the Sunsail regatta? I was doing my Day Skipper practical.
  14. Better than Maplins, go to a Radio Control Model shop and get some 4mm gold connectors (like the ones at the bottom ofthis page . 2 pairs of these and some heatshrink and the jobs a good'un.
  15. Can you slide the passenger seat forward?
  16. Drill or grind off the end of the stem. But don't let it get too hot or the vinyl might start to melt - guess how I know this..
  17. If you buy one from SBFS they come with the required bits, including a special one-way stud to stop the side straps coming off at speed. I suggest you give SBFS a call and see if they will put together a fittings kit for you. They can probably also send you fitting instructions. Editted to add that they have a page showing how to fit the half hood and even a video showing how the studs are fitted here Edited by - Ray Pearce on 25 May 2011 19:41:42
  18. Take some bread soaked in Shell Optimax and lay it carefully in the aisle of a breakers yard. Then hide behind a convenient people carrier with a large net and be patient. Sorry. I'll get me coat...
  19. If it is the standard rover immobiliser.... I normally press the blank button before turning on the ignition. If you get the solid light and clicking (this would be flashing lights and sounding horn on a "normal" car) press the lock button and then press the unlock.
  20. I have used 2mm gold connectors soldered to the wires with heat-shrink as insulation (female ends inside scuttle, male on screen end). These pass easily through the existing grommets and are rated to 40 Amps. Available as 2 pairs complete with heat-shrink from most radio controlled model shops for about £2. For example here
  21. I guess you can just try to undo one of the bolts. If it come out then you probably already have captive nuts, if it just spins then you don't.
  22. I don't know about SV but I changed my thin bar for an FIA bar and they both use the same brackets at the back so must be the same centres.
