  1. It's off my iPad. Has logged me off twice since new site started. I am on here probably every other day. Can't think I was doing anythink very different when it logged me out apart from I was accessing from a different country via a hotels internet access.
  2. Found today I had been automatically logged out and had to log back in. That is the second time that has happened since the new site opened. On old blatchat I don't think I ever had to log back in once I was in. is that a new design feature that it logs you out after a period of some sort or is it a bug?
  3. Martyn, I have a soft bits one which may fit slightly differently but this may be useful. when I was building mine a canvas SB half hood came up for sale locally so I bought it. When I finished the car and had a go at fitting it it was a bit baggy. I suspect that it was made for a car with a slightly taller roll bar. My solution was shorten the straps at the back by wedging a piece of wooden dowel between the metal plate on the end of the strap which sits underneath the roll bar bracket and the bracket itself. This was just enough to take up the slack and give me a nice taut roof. It's probably an inch lower over the bar than spec, but it has the little window and not a problem to see out. not sure how the oxted one fits but this might be simpler in the short term than changing the rake of the screen.
  4. Mine came with its own little metal bracket and I fitted it to the chassis rail on the left hand side just Inside the nose cone. From memory I had to dril out one of the existing rivets and used that as one hole and for the other I drilled a second hole next to it. It does look a bit like a washer bottle but I think my actual washer bottle is different. Had to cut two holes in the lid for both pipes to go in, and then cut the pipes to length so they don't go all the way to the bottom of the catch tank. I'm out of the country at the moment but if you would like a picture or two at the end of the week let me know.
  5. Been pondering why some supersports have a catch tank and some don't. Afaik all supersports from my vintage 2012 have a catch tank. Mine does need an empty every now and then. Others have commented that the 140s do like to breath. I am sure CC know best. But if you don't have a catch tank and you do connect the crankcase breather to the breather pipe on the cam cover (assuming that's what you have) is there anywhere for the engine to breathe to? Are you just pressurizing the inside of the cam cover? This is fine until one day something let's go. In which case could the oil vapour be forced out through the gasket and perhaps the bolt hole? Just a theory.
  6. That's interesting. So where do the two breather pipes go now?
  7. Have you got to the bit where you ask them what the extra washer bottle is for and they tell you it's the oil breather catch tank? Not in the manual. All you have to do is work out where to fit it, how many holes to cut in the lid and how many pipes go into it (2). Well, where would the fun be if it was all exactly as the manual!
  8. Hi Jonathan, 2 for me please plus the bags one of each, plus the p clips too. regards mark
  9. When I build mine in 2012 I had to cut up some of the supplied pipes to the right lengths to make things fit as what I was supplied with did not fit with what was needed. This was early days of supersport 140. I don't have any photos with me at the moment but may have when I get back in this evening. if you are still having problems let me know and I will see what I can do. If you want to BM me with any specific questions please feel free. mark
  10. Have you tried resetting the ECU. Not sure about your set up but on the standard sigma supersport when it's running not happy, just turning off the battery master switch and leaving it for a few seconds resets it. i am wondering if with the pumping to get it going it's got a bit confused.
  11. The arrow is in the right place but I don't think it was the thin metal bit I levered against. You don't need the flange anyway so don't worry, but I did not bend mine when it popped out. Can't recall exactly what it looked like when in the diff but if you BM me I can send you a few pics of what it looks like when removed which should help.
  12. Excellent! Well done Alex. Ordering finger in position........................
  13. Assuming this is a new build, they do just pop out but it does take a surprising amount to force to make them pop. I used a big screwdriver I think braced against the diff with a piece of wood as the fulcrum to lever them out. The chunk of metal that comes out is substantial and it seemed a shame to throw them away. So mine are still sat on a shelf in the garage until I think of something to use them for!
  14. Well done Alex. I am for option 2, the C10. I guess you will go for 1 of 50 so would like 2 please. Regards Mark
  15. Thanks Garry, Mail received. Regards, Mark.
  16. Garry, You have BM from me. My speedo has been showing early signs of what you describe. Speedo seems to work fine but with a wobble on the needle every now and then. However I did 30 miles less according to my 7 on the run down to Le Mans, compared to the guys I was travelling with. Mark
  17. Siva's approach looks good. I have just seen the d type version of the c70 with the speedo and rev counter on the dial. That looks really cool to me!
  18. The twin cam in my elan looks stock but it does have an Aldon ignitor hidden under the dizzy cap. Makes life a bit easier. As a quick fix, try changing the rotor arm. I had one where the rivet on the top was too long and when it got hot it would allow the spark to "leak" straight through to earth onto the dizzy spindle. Took a while to figure out as it started intermittent as a lack of power at certain revs (that bogging down feeling) but when hot would just cut the engine. If you left the car to cool down for 30 mins it would start fine, up to the time it did not! A bit of research found there had been a quality problem with them, so I now carry a spare just in case.
  19. Excellent, a hob degreasing thread with multiple suggestions as to how to do it! I wonder what the most o/t topic has ever been? Nice one Phil.
  20. Thanks Steve, Have emailed you back. Regards Mark
  21. Steve, I would like the RE bag please. Not sure about how to get it yet. I am in bucks. We do have an office just south of Coventry (Warwick univ area). Maybe someone from penn sevens will be at curborough and can bring it down. Failing that I am happy to pay postage if it's not too much trouble. I will BM you. Regards Mark
  22. In my experience bearings rumble, increasing noise with load on corners. Would suspect brakes first. Have you a smear of copper grease on the back of the pads?
  23. Orange with twin white stripes could have been me off the ferry on my way back from Le Mans Classic. M27 from Portsmouth to Southampton then up the M3.
