  1. I've used POR15 in the past and have been delighted with the results. Drys as hard as nails. You'll have trouble chipping off thats for sure. Does exactly what it says on the tin _________________________ Gordon.......joint Surrey AR
  2. Better still do away with the orange filiments and use silvertec filiments instead. Looks so much better with those Landy clear lenses. Total front end transformation _________________________ Gordon.

Tyre calculator Will effect all those things you mention so it pays to get it right. Having a play with the calculator will show you the error between different tyre sizes. _________________________ Gordon.
  19. Why not give James Whiting a call. I'm sure he'd be able to help you out. He's only over at Ashford so not far from you. _________________________ Gordon.
  20. Could very well be a 43amp Lucas you have there 18ACR I had a lower rear lug which part let go leaving a fork end rather than a hole for the bolt to go through. Fortunatly i managed to make a new mount and bolt it to what remained on the alternator. Been running for a couple of months now with no problems at all. _________________________ Gordon.
  21. I'm now using a Vulcan Engineering gasket. Not having seen the Burton gasket i would think they are very similar. This laminated asbestos style gasket has worked a treat for me. I tried the cheaper alloy/foil types and the copper type to no avail. Since installing the Vulcan gasket no gas leaks at all. Tight as a drum. Recomended Edited to say.......just looked at the Burton gasket. No they are the ones i tried and for me i didn't work even with a bit of gasket sealer. No the Vulcan ones are totally different. Definatly of a laminate asbestos type design. Not cheap but for me if it stops that leak out those siamese pipes then it's well worth it. _________________________ Gordon. 22. 'A' frames don't so much rattle when worn but make a clonking noise especially on acceleration. To rule out the 'A' frame give that a good wiggle about to make sure things are still solid. Rattley noise i'd be looking for something loose in the boot to start with. Perhaps if you have an alloy boot floor pan this worked loose and is vibrating a bit ? Just recently i had a rattle on my car, wasn't sure where it was coming. Sounded as if it was coming from under the dash. All made sense as only last year i replaced my oil px gauge so things where disturbed a bit. Anyway turned out it was my alternator and the lower rear mount lug letting go. Amaizing how sound travels. _________________________ Gordon. Morgan LeMans62
