  1. 80watt electric soldering iron did it for me! (£30 ish) Used Lead/tin solder though, not the leadless stuff. Good luck, tony
  2. As I posted in 'Techtalk', yes please. Cheers, Tony Smith
  3. Oh yes! I like the kook of that. A matching pedal box cover would complement it rather well! Please put my name on the list if you decide to make some more. thanks, Tony
  4. Drilled and bolted very carefully first time around - star crazed around bolts even with rubber washers. Bighead fasteners and cable ties second time! Won't use bolts again. Tony
  5. I've known a similar case. The problem was a bent pin on the ECU connection! Good luck. Tony
  6. We have enough Mardave 'stuff' to fill a 'starting grid'!. Sadly, never got a Caterham body shell though!
  7. Most double-sided sticky pads seem to be too small for the standard mirror. Use one pad and it eventually falls off ☹️ I used two, trimmed to fit and it has since lasted long enough to be considered sorted! Motor Factors sell them VERY cheaply. Tony
  8. Hollow space eh! Hmmm! Seriously though, I think the answer is 'no'. However I would not really want to be able to see the top end of the lower column within the 'clamping window' If you see what I mean! If this is associated with your steering wheel buttons it may not be what you want to hear! Too early for all this!! Tony
  9. I have a K & N RC5131 (from Opie Oils) fitted to my '125' It is a VERY tight fit under the bonnet but has been fine for over 12 months. 'Snug' might better describe the fit!! Tony Edited by - billyboanerges on 27 Jun 2014 12:43:00
  10. Morgan 3 Wheeler? Not sure about moving parts being visible but hot exhausts certainly are! Tony
  11. Going 'wide track' is not cheap New simpler, lower headlamp brackets solve the problem! Tony
  12. May I have a set plus one spare please. Total=3 Thank you Tony
  13. Probably best with LEDS at rear. My reflectors melted ☹️ Must use handbrake more! Going to do indicators though Tony
  14. I thought this thread would 'ring a bell' with you Stuart! Sorry - Bl *smile*dy teachers! 😬 😬 Tony
