  2. Hi Nick I use Redline MTL which was recommended by Road Race Transmissions. I did change my engine mounts, but they looked ok. I bought 2 bottles when I did mine. Opie Oils are competitive and offer a delivery service. I think we get a club discount too. John
  3. Hi Steve I have Nick Smith's instructions which may be of help, I have sent you a message. John
  4. If you are using the the old type gasket it may pay to drill two or three holes in the wide section to help drain the oil back in to the sump.
  5. Well, started the 7 up today and the rev counter was working.
  6. Hi Jonathan Thank you for your reply. I did drive past RNAS Culdrose on my blat! I will have a good look at the wiring this weekend to see if all the connections are good. It was working when I parked the car up at home, but failed to work when I stated it up again. A copy of the wiring diagram may be useful. Many thanks for your help. John
  7. Good evening all My rev counter has stopped working. I'm pretty sure I heard a clicking sound before it stopped working. Anyone have any ideas what the issue might be? Many thanks.
  8. Lubrication of the lower spherical joints has done the trick. Many thanks
  9. The spacer washers are as per the manual. I will try lubrication first? Thanks for all the replies.
  10. Good morning all I've found my steering to be very heavy over the years and it has a reluctance to self centre. I spotted a post on Facebook where an owner had a similar issue. They resolved this issue by loosening the big nut on the rack and adjusting the locking pin in the middle and re-tightening the big nut. Apparently, this transformed the operation of the rack. As anyone else had this issue and resolved it in the same manner. Many thanks John
  11. Going to take the 7 on a dual carriageway and see if it does this in the lower gears.
  12. Hi everyone I have noticed a whine when on throttle which starts at around 4,500 RPM, which I assume is from the transmission. If I lift off the throttle the sound disappears, but it immediately reappears when I get back on the throttle. Does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this? Many thanks John
  13. Can I conclude from this that the flat flooring is done after the geometry is checked. When I had the flat flooring done I gave them the weight of my wife and myself as it's nearly always driven with two up. Can I also conclude by adjusting the right height also changes the camber setting. I've stopped taking part in track days now, but the car should have been setup for two people so the front tyre wear should be even. The driver's side tyre has no wear on the outside therefore should I adjust the ride height to correct this? Many thanks
  14. I am sure that they only adjusted the damper heights to change the corner weights when flat flooring the car. I don't see how this would alter the camber settings. There appears to be around 6mm difference between the wheels.
