  1. I had this type of connector on my x/flow. Maybe see if a local auto electrician can supply the end cap?
  2. With the LSD mine's never been in the rollers but my MoT tester sets the meter up in my passenger footwell and I drive the car to do the brake test.
  3. My LF article on x/flow to Zetec conversion here. This will give you an idea of what's involved
  4. Another space in Class 4 garage is now available for anyone that would like it. I'll be dual-driving so wont have my 7.
  5. If you regularly use Esso it's definitely worth getting a fuel card as it's one of MUK benefits. Normally saves me a couple of quid on pump price every time I fill up, not a fortune but every little helps .
  6. 2nd the above. Mine was done in 2016 and still looks very good.
  7. I had a Roger King rebuild, as above, in mine way back in November 2000. It was his 140bhp spec which IIRC retained the 234 camshaft. ISTR that RK also reckoned Caterham's 135bhp was rather optimistic and that was proven as the 140bhp engine was a far better engine in all regards and the extra 20 horses made a huge difference. Roger is spot on when he says 'you would not believe the difference...'
  8. Andy Couchman of this parish has a very nice 150bhp engine running on TBs on his 1986 x/flow which presumably is a live axle. Hopefully he'll be along with more details........
  9. Longy, as long as you realise that the only daft question is the one you don't ask, then you won't go far wrong
  10. All familiar to me too but only as I used to go to the office where my father worked on the occasional Saturday morning. I have his original Rotring pens, slide rule etc...
  11. Brings back memories of my first sprint at Goodwood. See blog
  12. We'd like a space again please
  13. This had been a very useful set for those tight fitting spaces. Purchased from Halfords many years ago but not sure if it's still available?
  14. Armor All Protectant works for me on rockers, dash, boot cover, tonneau etc...
  15. Entered and nice not to have to pay immediately
  16. Last year at Curbs I asked the question of one of the scrutineers and the reply was pretty much "as long as the needle remains in the green they'd be happy, after all something is better than nothing".
  17. Can't help with entries costs but car prep falls under the essential safety upgrades banner
  18. For stud lengths and recommended number of turns have a look at ECR's contribution (8th post) on this thread
  19. 2 x 50mm strips of 3M dual lock good enough for 120mph along Goodwood's Lavant Straight
  20. Sean, the only thing I can comment on is that the ZZSs have a more 'bulbous' sidewall compared to the 'flat' sidewall of the Kumhos. I found that even with 235 Kumhos the sidewall was flexing enough to rub a little on the radius arms.
  21. I ran a 200bhp LSD Zetec on 185/70/13s (albeit A021Rs) on the road for many thousands of miles touring with 6" rims all round and never found it under-tyred (quite possibly because of the Yokos). I'd see what the existing set-up is like before investing i new wheels...
  22. If no luck with your request then you can always have a go at making your own from this template
  23. There were 2 of those 2004 DVDs, I still have both
