  1. Thanks Graham If only you had posted your message earlier, I have sorted myself out with a new unit which is now fitted. I am just up the road in Silloth, can you do spares as my old unit works fine it just has a damage plastic end cover. Gordon
  2. After searching through a manual provided by Jonathan I found the following on connecting the loom terminals to the alternator: Two Thick Brown Wires With Large Spade terminals and one Brown/Black cable with small spade terminal Does not matter which way round the large spades are connected to the alternator. The Brown/Black is connected +B Terminal on the alternator. All as shown in picture #10
  3. Thanks Ian I assume this was a direct replacement, how long ago was it fitted. Gordon
  4. Thanks Stephen Like you said, bit far. I will give them a call so see if they can supply end cover.^
  5. Before buying a new Lucas Unit from Burton Power does anyone have a spare alternator following an upgrade they with to move on, or a plastic end cap from a defunt unit. Thanks
  6. Thanks Johathan do you know the colour codes of the 3 wires? Stephen looking Left to Right on your what colors are we looking at, am I correct in assuming the left cable is a lower amp rating then the other two?
  7. Thanks I will try and get in close to check out wires and colors. Are most of the 94 era alternators Lucas.
  8. A long story but I have damaged my alternator end cap and cannot sort out the connections? Are these simple spade push connectors or are they contained in a single plug in connector. I probably need to replace the end cap in full, are these available as a separate part or do I need to replace the complete unit. Awkward spot but can anyone supply a picture of the connections. Thanks
  9. Hello Graham Not fitted yet, but I am sure all will be well. (Topped up with small amount of fluid and plugged outlets to keep seals moist.
  10. Robert Thanks for your kind offer.PM sent Gordon
  11. Ian a refurbishment could be option for consideration at a later stage, the good thing is that a retro refit for originality would be a simple task. I will checkout Car Builder.
