My email, A couple of quick questions if I may: As my on-line entry says my wife will be at the event I presume I need to print to passes both with our names or will one pass and 2 names be sufficient? Are on-board cameras permitted to review runs provided they are not made public, as in previous years?received the following reply from Pete Walters: Please print one Gate Pass each. Also write on your race number (from the final entry list) so the marshals know where to park you. Officially, no cameras are permitted …but if you do not share the images and then delete them, I am sure that would be OK. This is a commercial site, owned by a Chinese Company …so you can understand the sensitivity.

Interesting, I was at the same BARC event last year and can't recall if it was or wasn't in the regs, but nothing was said when I only had the usual side facing numbers

The often quoted method is the gently bend the spare wheel carrier in the desired direction. I always used a strap as well as I found the spare wheel had a tendency to bounce in the carrier on our bumpy B roads.

I've just measured the length of the threaded stud on an imperial FIA bar that goes into the bucket on my 1992 imperial chassis and it is the same as your photo, 1 1/2". This does suggest that your original FIA bar is imperial and your chassis is metric. I don't know whether you purchased the trackday cage new or 2nd hand, but if 2nd hand I wonder if the cage which is a special order was specified to be imperial by the original purchaser? The chassis changed from imperial to metric around 2006/07 I believe.

Like a few others I chose TBA as class entered. After emailing Pete Walters I received the following reply: Thanks for your entry. When we see how many Lotus variants sign up, we will arrange classes to suit everybody. You certainly belong to an invited club and will score points in your championship. Not quite sure what to read into that given that the last time we competed there we entered via our normal championship classes.

This morning I received a reply to my email to the Entries Sec on Wednesday. "I have received your entry there was a glitch in the system so confirmations haven't been sent"

Last year I received a payment confirmation email followed by a separate email with an entry submission receipt. This year I've only received the payment confirmation. Just thought I'd check to see what everyone else has received before I trouble the entries sec.

All sorted last night. Email from Entries Secretary: I have to apologise that I uploaded the wrong version of the form and you saw and filled out the version we will use when the entry is full.....

Just tried again and this time I was given the option to pay, which I've done, but not yet received confirmation. I seem to be on BRMCs mailing list that's the only reason I know. I had an email direct from BRMC at approx 12pm today and filled out the form 30 mins later and received the following: YOUR ENTRY IS PROVISIONAL - IT HAS BEEN RECIVED AFTER WE HAVE RECIEVED 110 ENTRIES - SO WE HAVE YOU ON OUR RESERVES LIST Anyone else had this? I've emailed the entries secretary hoping it's a system glitch....

#7 Just to put my Arch comment into context, when I rebuilt the car in 2007/8. The chassis and everything and anything that could be re-powder coated was given to them at the same time so maybe they treated it as part of a job lot. The refreshed items can be seen here.

If you're unsure of the condition of the tube you could always take it to Arch to get it sandblasted, checked over and re-powder coated. This is what I did at 59,000 miles. I only changed mine at 92,000 as it had completed many sprints (running over the kerbs) and felt it prudent to do so. The old tube still appears sounds although it has bowed by 1 or 2 degrees.
