  1. no, they look more like the normal type. I'm gonna head over there tomorrow and fit them up if the weather isn't too rotten.
  2. https://www.kitcardirect.co.uk/products/caterham-lotus-7-style-front-cycle-wing-mudguards-carbon-csr-13-pair?_pos=6&_sid=a9edfd2fd&_ss=r I'm wondering if they'll fit my 13" Caterham wing stays if I bond them.
  3. some happy people sent me pics that are much better than mine. here we go.

    Cycle Wing Stays

sorry to resurrect this. are these the "race" stays https://caterhamparts.co.uk/brackets/1910-cycle-wingstay-rh-13-zzs-zzr-tyres.html why are they "race" is there a problem running them on my 13" R888R front tyres on the road? cheers
  5. these ones wouldn't as the bottom is profiled to follow the fillet curve of the boss so that it covers it with no gap. but I can easily do some with a flat part.
  6. Whittle le Woods to be precise. outside my parents. are you local?
  7. Someone asked me to (I'm really sorry I can't remember who it was) make something to cover their lapbelt boss. theirs was full of grot and just asking for trouble. So I designed something to cover it. the first version was fine but the hole was full of grot so when I screwed it in it jammed and snapped off (ok, I shouldn't have been using a pipe-wrench...) So the bung needs to tap the thread into the grot and clean it out and it needed to not be ugly, maybe a nice carbon fibre weave appearance. also, it doesn't need to be billet aluminium or cost the earth so here we are: £13 delivered. https://uberniche.co.uk/lapbelt-bung
  8. anyone else going? I'm taking the scenic route up on the sunday. weather is guaranteed* to be great as it has been every time I've been to Anglesey. I'm thinking of camping and setting up a fallback in case of hurricanes although. I didn't book a garage as they're £50. anyone want to go halves on one as they easily fit 2 cars? I'm taking an R400 so it'd be great if there are other 400/420 cars to chase about cheers!
  9. I do sell the quadlocks but I also sell one which uses VHB tape to stick to the scuttle. I run an aero screen and wanted the phone out of the 120mph air. it uses 2 magnets and a steel plate that bonds to your phone's case. It is nice and rigid and I've taken the car around the Karussel and jumped the mountain at cadwell, both times the phone was fine. https://uberniche.co.uk/maglock
  10. Have a search for “spa vs motamec” on here the “spa style” are motamecs and in my opinion not as good as they are much much less convex and so pretty hopeless. If you can be bothered you can drill and tap a bolt but I also make some stuff to help I have skin in this game though. See the site in my profile for my offerings.
  11. what was that? You want a dust cap to fill the hole of your lap belt boss? But it's full of grot So it literally needs to tap the thread into the grot and clean it out? and you don't want it to cost £40? Have I got good news for you! https://uberniche.co.uk/lapbelt-bung please file under "stupid but neat" as usual, you can order some from the site in my footer. £10+£3 delivery! J ps. the first version I did of these snapped off in the grot-filled thread. it was not good. thises are strong enough and with the extremely blunt "cutting" thread, they should get all the goop out by moving it back and forth a bit as long as you don't attach a pipe wrench to them and twist (ask me how I snapped the V1)
  12. my adapters are available in spa OR motamec. the motamecs will just about fit as you say as they're a couple of mm different bolt distance, but they're a slightly different size (Spa base is much bigger) and having chased @L7 FST around Cadwell, I can quite happily say he doesn't really need to look in his mirrors anyway
  13. the KitCarDirect ones are motamecs. confirmed by one of my customers. I'd recommend the Spas as they're more convex (and so actually useful). Merlin do sell CF ones but they're £400/pair
  14. some updates on this. I've heard grumblings that some suppliers don't want to deal with Spa anymore as they're unreliable. I know they're currently available at merlin and demontweeks but be careful as kitcardirect are selling "spa-style" which appear from the photos to be motamecs, meaning not very convex but a base with a grub-screw. just as an aside, I now also sell these:
