  1. Brunel wrote But a lot of us come on this site because it is a nice community (constant bickering aside 😬) and I find it a nice mix to talk about various topics. Half the time this is where I learn about some interesting news that I may have not have otherwise found. I'm sure a lot of people value and trust what other BC members say/recommend/advise etc so it is a good source of information...which leads nicely onto Red SLR's suggestion. Good though the suggestion is, I think I like the way ChitChat is, offering a nice mix of subjects to browse through. I wonder if by creating a separate technologies section would reduce this? If we were a bigger on line community in terms of numbers then yes it would be a great idea to break things down a bit. Take rllmuk forum for example, it's mainly a gaming forum but there are loads of other non gaming sub related forums to cater and entertain for their masses. i'm certainly not shooting the idea down in flames but personally I just don't think the number of technology related topics warrant it at the moment. Perhaps if we opened the forum up to non members again...aww I had to go and say it didn't I 😬 Cheers Dave
  2. Hi Ian, H7 JSC is mine. Did anyone find out why the delays are occurring as we were delayed an hour going out too. Each trip was taking 15-20 mins longer throughout the day so of course by night time it was hours! Funnily enough whilst chatting to you at the docks they were loading my lane onto the ferry and so I held up the entire lot behind me 😳 . Might have been nice if they had announced they had begun boarding . Trust you got home ok and a pleasure to meet you. Dave
  3. Seems like you may have yourself sorted but just to say that Prisoner wheels have the same centres as the HPC wheels - being the ally type with the 7 logo engraved, if you like, in to the cap, so will be no good to you. Perhaps Stu was referring to the minator (sp?) centres which are plastic but have the little badgesthat affix in the middle. Cheers Dave
  4. For the Autoglym HSCC event and sporting a Freestyle venturi thingly underneath. Piccy here Cheers Dave
  5. Only this one here 😬 Good luck with it and yes don't forget to show us lots of pics! Dave
  6. Mmmm LM002 moment> Good choice 🥰 Dave
  7. Hi Phil, Yep I'll take it then assuming it is has no major scuffs etc on it. I'll PM you tonight with my details. If you could let me know the P&P I'll send a cheque. Cheers Dave (Just best I don't use it when I am wearing my Gulf GP jacket either - don't want to look a complete tool?! 😬 😬)
  8. No mention of a new bumper Anthony? I thought 964RS 's had reprofiled rear bumpers that had a full cut out where the no. plate sits? All sounds very nice though Dave
  9. Hi Phil, If Lurk doesn't take it I would be interested. Can I see photos first though please? Cheers Dave Actually if Lurk does have it do you know where it is available on the net and could you send me a link? Ta.
  10. Don't forget to try Steve at Simply Tyres Cheers Dave
  11. Hi Shelley, Yes no probs. I'll measure from the tunnel top with the gears in neutral if ok? Thanks David
  12. Are these any good for you Alan? here Cheers Dave
  13. I had a similar issue with mine too in that, certainly in fourth, I couldn't get enough leverage on the stubby round gearknob so I did the same as SM25T and fitted this here It's a Momo Competition gear knob, almost doubles the height of the gearstick, looks great and it does the job perfectly! Cheers Dave
  14. 1 x Bottom Rad hose - £50 1 x J pipe water pump hose - £35 These are both brand new unused items. I bought the Samco hose kit for my Inj VX but the above two hoses don't fit mine. They are fine for Rover and VX carb though. Don't forget, these are in RED, not the standard Samco blue. Thanks David

    At Duxford

Ha hello! Mine was the red one. I was told to park with all the other 'individuals' i.e. those with no club presence but I thought better than that and decided to park opposite the Ferraris and as you say, set up my own display so was pleased when Ray from the Suffolk area turned up too in his green one! Cheers Dave
  16. Are you going Aero then Mike? Dave
  17. I paid £235 for 2 x 185/60 13's and 2 x 205/60 13's from Steve at Simply Tyres. These were supply only prices. Must admit I thought of going SG (soft) front and GG (medium) rear but went GG all round (not sure why now - think it was availability issues at the time) but I'll see how I go. SG on front might be better for the VX boys?? Cheers Dave
  18. I've recently switched to R888's from A048's for summer hooning (if it ever arrives ) and they are a big noticeable improvement. No longer does the car feel quite so fidgety or twitchy. Not experienced in the wet but saw quite literally dozens of Sevens running R888's on the Wightblat and we had all weathers that weekend. for R888s Dave ps - good to see you back in a VX car Mike!
  19. Yup, I do that too I have to confess, much better than shelling out another £300! Cheers Dave
  20. Hi Steve, That's great news! Glad you've taken that route with the finish and look forward to seeing them! Cheers Dave
  21. Steve, Yep, Caterham's old standard studs were 32mm as mentioned above and the new ones are 40mm. You will be ok with the 32mm with those wheels I am pretty sure. I would've been fine with mine had it not been for those pesky AP brake calipers meaing I would've needed something like a 3mm spacer to clear them but decided to stick with the 13"s I already had and live without all those lovely polished rims ☹️ Cheers Dave ETA - don't see why these here won't be ok. ps don't forget to send that photo! 22. Hi Charlie, Ok they are yours but I will just need to confirm first that the Thruxton drop off is possible, I'll do this over the weekend and come back to you, I'm sure it won't be a problem. Thanks David
  23. I have a set of Yoko A048s going spare. Only really suitable for a couple of trackdays now I guess. Fronts are 185/60 R13 (medium) pretty much getting to the wear bars Rears are 205/60 R13 (medium) with about 3mm ish of tread on them. They are currently at Hyperion and are for collection only though I could get them to High Wycombe or Andover (Thruxton area) if useful. Free* * Well a donation to NTL would I'm sure be appreciated. Cheers Dave
  24. Also try Steve @ Simply Tyres here for the Toyos. I paid £235 for 2 185/60 R13 and 2 205's some months back. Only just got round to having my R888's fitted now the weather is improving and pick the car up tonight. I will be interested to notice the difference against the A048's. I never liked those on the roads, too stiff and twitchy, Toyos are said to be a little more compliant. I have never taken mine on the track so can't comment on their performance in those conditions. Chatting to Hyperion the other day, who are doing my work (great guys btw!) they said 48's are only good if it is a warm dry day. Cheers Dave
