  1. Chassis is a 1995 xflow live axle, Bilsteins height adjustable shocks all round. I'm removing all 4 shocks for a rebuild (Is a rebuild cost effective compared to new?). The alan bolt holding the top of the front shock to the chassis, is it a 3/8" alan key I require to remove the bolt? Also, to remove the adjustable platforms I require a 'C' spanner, are these spanner's all one size? Finally, will I require spring clamps to remove the springs?
  2. I replaced my A021's with Uniroyal Rain Experts, 185/70x13. Not as grippy as the Yoko's but I find them perfectly acceptable for road use on my xflow.
  3. If the Headlight glass 5.3/4" have sidelights I'll take the other pair please.
  4. I purchased new callipers from a Triumph/MG 'shop', no idea who the manufacturer was, it was certainly not Girling. When fitted I had a similar problem, air in the system and no leaks. With much force you could actually press the break pedal down to the floor. I contacted the 'shop' who told me I had been supplied with the incorrect nipples, they sent me some more nipples, a little longer, I wasn't convinced and still the issue remained. I contacted them to complain questioning the build quality of the callipers (castings) and they basically told me to 'go away'. I eventually rebuilt my old Girling callipers and pleased I did. This tale doesn't really help you, however it's just to let you know I had air in the system and no leaks.
  5. Sorry Steve, no. Just thought I would just show what you are looking for.
  6. I got exactly the same carpet from Redline, give them a ring.

    95/96 chassis

I have a 95 live axle xflow 'N' registered and it's the long cockpit variant. It also has the earlier trunnion front geometry set up.
  8. Footwell...map pocket securing fastener?
  9. A little late, however that's my set up. 1995 xflow, live axle, under dash handbrake.
  10. Somewhere in the archives (someone my be able to find it) there is a flow chart detailing the MOT emission test for a xflow. My 95 xflow is just visual smoke test.

    dents

I would try the spoon technique
  12. So, Giles, the red and black wires on your eBay buzzer link you would just connect to your indicator warning light positive & negative feeds?
  13. My 7 is ali, I use Autoglym metal polish. I've used various other polishes but I find the Autoglym creates a protective barrier and protects the ali longer. Yes it does get mucky when out driving but a bucket of water cleans off the muck still leaving the shine. The car is never SORN'd so used throughout the year albeit not to often over winter but a polish around spring time will last the '6 months' blatting season. I'm not saying go for ali, just my experience of owning an ali car. And yes I'm sure a painted car will be easier to keep clean, also, you can choose your colour.
  14. Think the '7 Wonders' heater #15 is a Clayton heater?
  15. Don't know if it makes any difference but Rays car is a XFlow and the heater fitted to that chassis/engine was different to the K series chassis/engine Just a thought.
  16. There were a few posts on this subject a couple of weeks ago. No doubt the posters will point you in the right direction or try a search yourself.
  17. McB, don't know if you aware, and if you want to but the calipers can be rebuilt. Sorry, just seen multiple posts.
