  1. From my local motor factor 'shop' I've always been offered two alternatives and gone for the dearer option; APEC always found their products to be OK. Tom.......been to Elgol today, stunning views but the weather!!!
  2. Hmm.......the oil filter I fit on mine is a Fram PH5713
  3. Triumph Spitfire Rimmer Bros, Redline, James Whiting, Caterham?
  4. Just a thought ....... anything on the 'Burton' website?
  5. On my lenses there is a very noticeable pattern on each lens roughly from the center to approx, assume clock face, 20 to, to 10 to. Have I explained that well?
  6. Pensioner, where are you located? Could be worthwhile looking at another car. IMO it should fit better than the photos illustrate.
  7. Handling's fine Mike. Also, I have my toe in/out set parallel at 0'.
  8. My live axle trunnion set up has parallel wishbones and the steering rack arms are approx 1cm higher on the outside ie nearest to the wheel, taking measurements along the arm where it dissapears into the gaiter ie on the inside. (If that makes sense?) Sorry for the late reply.
  9. Yip, standard calipers, Rimmers or Redline. I've had replacement seals from Redline.
  10. Paul, I'm frightened to check mine
  11. If you don't mind posting, I'll take the Gunson timing strobe please.

    Trunnions

I purchased an oil gun from someone on BC a while back and it makes the job really easy. Anyone wishing to have their trunnions oiled are welcome to pop round and use my gun.
  13. Well there is another 7 in France but not in your area, we're in Brittany. Been watching the TDF, going home later in the week.
  14. I like these 'quick fix' solutions. The penultimate post costing £100's to the last post costing £0. Relief hey James!
  15. Yes for Tayna, I ordered a Banner from them a couple of weeks ago and it came the following day.
  16. I had a similar issue a couple of years ago after winter hibernation, didn't have leaking fuel but had the not running after 30 minutes. It turned out to be dodgy spark plugs, getting hot and breaking down. The plugs, at the time had been replaced the year previously so had only done a couple of thousand miles, however they, or at least one of them was the culprit.
  17. Klunk, What a super video!
  18. I'm loving this thread, I know Terry probably isn't, it's like a drama unfolding with all the xflow stars taking part including Roger the oscar winner. I had an issue a couple of years ago after a winter lay up. Not running well tried everything but a chap I know was convinced it was the plugs. No way, I thought, I had replaced them the year before so they had only done a couple of thousand miles and had a good spark. However I changed them and hey presto. Terry, are you using new plugs? Just a thought. Oh yes and not a laptop or ECU in sight.
