  1. This is interesting for me, I was about to post, which coolant for a xflow. I will watch with interest.
  2. 7 Wonders, I've been wondering why I can't message you back then I realised, 'your mail box is full', anyway have a bump on me thanks.
  3. I've look on the Merida website and their sizing guide recommends a small size frame for my build, unfortunately.
  4. Is a 17.5" frame a medium size frame?
  5. You can remove the dizzy cap without removing the carbs.
  6. Following this thread with interest. I've got a 95 xflow with this under the dashboard. Can anyone shed any light on what type of ignition system I have. I know it's labelled 'Lucas', the dizzy is a Bosch.
  7. I may be wrong but I thought the cut out for the carbs was dependent on whether it was a xflow or Vauxhall engine.
  8. Abbey Lakes actually, about 19:45 hrs yesterday (11/08/20).

    Tyre Advice

Stephen, I've just purchased 4 Uniroyals from Mytyres, I did try Demon Tweeks but unfortunately they weren't available until after my MOT, my AO21's were a little, hmmm, worn. DT availability is early September.
  10. Just a thought ... have you looked at Burtons ???

    Top Link Bush

Cheers Steve, thanks for the update. I think my 95 xflow my have the same setup as your car.
  12. I'm in a similar situation, my 185/70x13 AO21's are pretty much 'gone' now and I'm looking to keep the same(ish) rolling circumference. 205/60x13 are available but would you fit these at the front? Over tyred? Heavy steering? Will they fit without touching the wing stays? Anyone tried them on the front? An option is the Uniroyal Rainexperts in 185/70x13 which is probably the way I'll go.
  13. This is how it looks on my 95 xflow
  14. We've all had different experiences.......when was the last time you changed the plugs? My xflow started ok, ran ok for 20 minutes then I struggled to drive it. Left it for 20 minutes and it was fine. ''Twas the plugs.
  15. Placed an order yesterday and it arrived this morning. Absolutely super service
  16. If it's the same Girling master cylinder that's on my 1995 xflow, service kits are available from Redline. Did mine recently.
  17. I'm running with M1144 pads in front standard Girling type 14 callipers and standard brake shoes in the Ital (Marina) rear axle and for road use I'm quite happy with it. I believe the rear brake slave cylinders are available in two different (bore) sizes. I'm not sure what size mine are ....... i just order the 'stuff' from RedLine.
  18. And don't forget that earlier hoods and doors (early 90's ish) had a slightly different 'roof line' profile.
  19. Looking on the Avon website, what's this tyre like for road use - Avon Caterham Academy?
  20. About 10 ish this morning driving up Tower Hill, you were following a cyclist and I was cycling in the opposite direction.
  21. I asked for an oil filter for my crossflow at my local Ford dealer quoting the part number ....... to stop myself getting annoyed I walked out without one
  22. Two Caterhams on the car park and one arriving as I was leaving (on my bike).
