  1. It's probably more than 20 years ago that I used to do a bit of marshalling at Bruntingthorpe with Palmersport, and can confirm the Caterhams and others had been converted to LPG, it was one of our jobs to refuel them at lunchtime and the end of day.
  2. I rubbed my arb balls with some fine sand paper, to get rid of the slight ridge around the circumference, and greased them, and they were fine after. Alan
  3. I rebuilt a crossflow and it originally had the additional front top link, but utilised the original arb, as shown in Guy Lowe's post, I however chose to adopt what is effectively, the 8 valve VX racer front end set up which uses the later ball type arb as it seems you have too. From memory the top link shown in your pic, slots through the original top link ( with copious amounts of grease), and is held in place from the rear with a bolt and a large thick aluminium spacer washer that is the same diameter as the hole in the original top link. if you message me your mobile number I can Watts App you a pic. Alan
  4. Try Chris Mintoft at Redline Components, he supplied mine, in fact I've just found them (bearings and circlips) in my spares drawer, as the 7's have gone I'll never use them .

  8. It's for an S3, I've amended the original post to reflect that. Alan
  9. Softbits long Nose Shower Cap for Sale, it's for an S3 - £100 plus postage, or can deliver to Curborough on 27th August
  10. I am selling my set of 6 x 13 Ford PCD wheels, that were refurbished in dark anthracite, 4 wheels are marked 'Superlite', the spare ' performance' The wheels come complete fitted with 2 , 185/60/13s and 2, 205/60/13s. The tyres have approx 200 miles on them, they still have their dimples on them.. The spare wheel is fitted with an unused yokohama. The wheels/tyres are located in Nuneaton, Warwickshire £400.
  11. Fresh from my sons loft, never been used, £100, located in Nuneaton, Warwickshire Alan
  12. Thanks everyone for your inputs, much appreciated, I suspect like JV said, it's either a typo, or a subtle attempt to increase spare parts sales revenue lol. Alan.
  13. I know about the nylon race washers that fit between the A frame and the de-dion, in fact they are the only ones mentioned in my old build manual. My query is, on the Caterham Parts website, it states that you require 16 of these on the rear suspension, so where are the other 14 fitted?, as I said there is nothing in my build manual about them. Alan
  14. Neil, I've only done about 300 miles in it over the last 3 years, and been chasing a diff issue all that time. With a borrowed and quiet open diff now fitted it highlights the other driveline noises, probably been masked with my ear buds, but without those it just seems noisier in 3rd and 5th than I remember. Oil is Redline MTL, and yes to 2.48 first, as for 5th.....who knows, it;s in the paperwork somewhere..... Alan
