    Elise 111s

I am now Caterhamless so I'm looking for a low mileage Elise, preferably a 111s, for £15k max.
  4. Philip - what set up did you get?
  5. Time to replace the original spax and springs on my live axle Xflow ('97 ex academy) running 185/70/13 for a set of height adjustable ones primarily for fast road use. Old springs have been measured at 245 front, 95 rear....budget £600. The more I research the more confused I get. Options so far... Spax height adjustable with 260lb front, 104lb rear (like the idea of keeping the car's originality). Protech 400 1.9" with bonded bushes with 275lb front, 150lb rear.(2.25" look like the springs will foul the side skin and I don't fancy opening up the hole). As above with rose joints on bottom of rear (but Protech recommended bonded bushes being better for public roads due to potholes etc.) Avo's with 225 fronts and 130 rears....also recommended with 250 fronts and 150 rears. Then there has been the mention of progressive springs on the rear which sound like a good option. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks James
  6. Thanks for all the feedback and advice. Looks like new adjustables all round. Like the look of the Protechs, thanks Rob and Wonders. Would these be preferred over AVOs or Gaz or are the performances similar and it's a matter of aesthetics?
  7. Handling isn't great but the roads are pretty poor and the live axle doesn't help. If I can get the clearance under the floor increased then I can drop the pressure back down.
  8. Only to help with ground clearance issue other wise it is around 20.
  9. Thanks for the feedback. It looks like adjustable suspension is the way forward. Any recommendations as to an economical set-up for a live axle. Nothing too fancy as all my driving is on roads.
