  1. A614 towards Driffield, 08 car in bright green with black bonnet stripe. Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  2. Hi 'Slippers', if you possibly can, make sure you go for the PBC Even if CC don't do anything it will give you confidence on the BIG day. Are you putting it through SVA yourself? Good Luck Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  3. Hi Tom, out of interest what car are you running? Bugger should have read thread title! Hmm, looks like I've been told some porkys. Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black Edited by - adcatman on 5 Mar 2009 22:49:25
  4. Hi Steve, I'm still whinging 😬 glad your sorted out with number 4, still waiting for number 2 ere. Just fired another mail off to see what they're up to. I think mine must be on the way, it looks like we're due for some more snow. ☹️ Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  5. Yes John a 250 mile round trip does kind of take the edge of it! Guess there's worse off than me though? ☹️ Edit.. Anyone know if there's an upgrade from the std Sigma radiator so I can get going again? 6. Steve, do you mean it's not over yet. I'm not a happy bunny either particulary because I'd arranged to deliver and pick up a replacement from CC midlands but when I got there with mine there was no replacement. Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  7. Don't get me started on Diffs, I was in the same quandry before I took the radiator out. Is it or isn't it a problem?? just passed my third week waiting for my replacement radiator and missing my car....lots, why is the weather always better when its on stands? Anyone else waiting for a rad? Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  8. My Sigma was the same, heater fitted. Patience, Patience, Pub, Patience. 😬 Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  9. Pete, what sort of depth of travel do you have on the pedal? MIne came good within a few hundred miles but its still not as good as my regular car. I had another go at bleeding it this weekend and another litre plus of fluid but still no air. Maybe fractionally better but I think I just convinced myself I had not wasted my time. 11. I think mine had the 'new' parts and the problem was still the same. Soon sorted here Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  12. here EDIT - Well that didn't work 2nd attempt here Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black Edited by - adcatman on 18 Jan 2009 22:56:54 Edited by - adcatman on 18 Jan 2009 22:59:53
  13. The moulded step on the CC cycle wings goes all around the edge of the wing, not seen yours but I guess it would kook right with the plain bit at the bottom. WC. I'm seriously thinking of mud flaps to stop the 'another BLAT another CHIP another touchup routine'. A stonking big 'ding' from todays run My touchup paint is like molasses, Hijack start.... Does anyone know if CC now use waterbased paint and if they do can I add a little distilled water to thin it out? Hijack end.... Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  14. Hi Brucey, not too much activity on here yet? Limited knowledge means I can only give help with No.1 here 'edit' and this one for No.3 here Good Luck Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black Edited by - adcatman on 17 Jan 2009 22:07:12
  15. I think there's a trial going on somewhere using these fasteners and a new developed adhesive, it might be worth having a look around but if you just need fasteners I got mine here Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  16. The picture in the link looks like the same release bearing as mine but its only a rear view. I keep everything 'somewhere' and remember writing down the Ford number on the box that it came in. Typically you can't find it when you want it. Link shows hose connection on mine here If there's only one connection on yours I guess Caterham have made some changes. I wish they could develop self bleeding brakes. Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  17. Jez, I might be way off here but you say that yours is self bleeding? Mine (Sigma 125) has a small 'tap' at the side of the pipe fitting where I bled from. Is it possible that the tap is slightly open and weeping fluid down the outside of the tube into the bellhousing? Just a thought. Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  18. Slide hammer, a long while ago and not on a se7en but I borrowed one from a local garage for a few hours and its the right tool for the job. Thinking about it and it was 25 years ago and a Vauxhall main dealer 😬. Worth a try if you can find someone that has one. Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  19. SM25T, yes there is that I looked at these two pictures and got impatient to have a go. here and here Does yours have 1 popper for hood and one for the door. The door popper on mine is on the inside at about the same point as yours? You mean I'm going to get rained on 😬 again. Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  20. Had a go today with these results here 😬 Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black
  21. Cheers Ian, Belissimo thanks for 'allowing' me to butt in! I'm still interested in any more info for the right position to place poppers. If nobody comes back I'll have a go tomorrow and post a link to pics of my results then you can decide if its right ..... or if it's not! Regards Andy Lardy Aztec Orange 'n' Black Edited by - adcatman on 2 Jan 2009 01:34:26
  22. SM25T, I've just done SVA fuel flap thingy and the final few poppers are next on my job list. I just checked out your photo's, I was a bit concerned about getting the popper off centre to the tube in case it pulled the bodywork in. Oh and what are your mud flaps made from and I don't see any fixings are they glued? Thanks Andy Lardy Aztec Orange n Black
  23. Still trying to get mine to 500 miles to put it on stands for first service but reading this again I just took the bonnet off and theres droplets of coolant all over the place. I've not been out for two weeks and the cars in a warm garage. Its a bit late for proper investigation now, that will have to wait while the weekend. Big issue will be if its a radiator fault my warranty run out last month because it took me so long to get the car built and on the road. Tell the pessimist - CALM DOWN, CALM DOWN, CALM DOWN! ☹️ Edit - I knew I'd get it wrong, bloody pecimist! Lardy Aztec Orange n Black Edited by - adcatman on 16 Dec 2008 21:48:27
  24. Another thumbs up for the Machine Mart Crane here. I'm sure you'll want one now but from time to time they have VAT free days. If your like me and are working in a shoe box size garage it folds away real small when you don't need it. Footprint about 600mm x 300mm. You will need about 150mm clearance under the car. In use here Lardy Aztec Orange n Black Edited by - adcatman on 9 Dec 2008 22:10:55
  25. IMO the CC SVA mirror mounts are only good for SVA or to pass 'a' test? Though I guess this is all you are after.... Supporting a mirror on a single pin was asking a bit much, mine would'nt stay where they were put. I did persevere with them for a while because I got the impression that the mirrors on the doors would suffer from a lot of vibration rendering them near useless. Lots of people have them so I'm prepared to duck for cover 🙆🏻 I now have none and its damn tricky seeing to the rear quarter with the harness nice and tight. Andy Lardy Aztec Orange n Black
