  1. I now have some more pictures if anyone would like to see some. John
  2. Hi Dave and Simon You both have mail back.
  3. I have a concept 2 sitting in my garage. Bought 5 years ago, not a lot of use since... Complete with manuals and covers. Open to an offer!
  4. I think they are based up that way. I picked the engine and box up from a rolling road place in the midlands. They dropped it off there with another engine they had built. The engine has been very reliable (once I had sorted the ignition system out) I agree with the other comments, I would have hoped it would have sold by now, but although I have had a few mails, no-one has even been to see it!
  5. Thanks for the replies. I will respond at the weekend. At the moment I am dealing with an office move of my business, so things are hectic to say the least. I do have pictures, and can supply them to anyone interested. John
  6. Caterham 1995 crossflow Sprint, British Racing Green with yellow nosecone. M registration Purchased in 2006 as a category D vehicle, and completely rebuilt with; NEW BODY AND CHASSIS UNIT. The chassis was built to accept the post 96 front suspension. Live axle New suspension including springs / dampers / Suspension arms and roll bar New petrol tank and lines New FIA bar Momo removable steering wheel Electric fuel pump with guage (original also in place) Electronic ignition New master cylinder and front discs, new pads, and later front calipers New light units LSD with rear discs (added later) Rebuilt engine and 5 - speed gearbox from HWR engineering - Runs perfectly New propshaft New clutch New wheel bearings New bolts throughout and copasliped. New wings (but secondhand nosecone) cloth seats with headrests FIA roll bar Quick rack screen, doors and half-hood 13' anthracite wheels Smaller black lights VOSA inspected at the time Immobiliser with certificate (Works on fobs) Full MOT Rear wheel carrier currently removed, but can be replaced. Looks great and runs really well. I realise the Cat D issue will affect the cars value, but in my view the fact that this car has had a new chassis unit 5 years ago counters this to a degree. Priced (I hope) realistically at £7,600 (FINAL REVISED PRICE, otherwise I will be keeping it!) YOU CAN CALL ME ON 07894 607 064 IF YOU WANT TO DISCUSS I also have some extras to sell when the car is gone, but these will be offered to the buyer first Set of 5 14' wheels and tyres. 4-1 Exhaust Post 96 Front suspension Original lights The reason for sale is that I want to buy a later Duratec SV version. 7. If the car is misfiring more and eventually stopping as you drive it, to me that sounds indicative of a coil overheating and breaking down.
  8. We are moving to a new office on the 25th of February and have some spare furniture There are 8 desks with pedestals. These are oak coloured, with metal frames, and in good condition. We also have a meeting table, seats 8, also oak coloured. All the above FOC but must be collected from Princes Risborough in Bucks on Friday 25th Feb to the Sunday. John
  9. You can remove the scuttle as a unit without removing the rivets.. If you look inside the car at the point where the top panel of the scuttle joins the side of the car, you will find 2 bolts per side. Undo these, and lift out the small metal channels that the bolts go through. Then undo the wiper spindles. There may be some sealant to deal with, and 2 small trim panels covering the scuttle bolts inside the cockpit, but then the whole unit lifts off, giving great access to the instruments and wiring. I may have forgotten one or two bits, but it's a lot quicker than taking out 30 rivets.. (By the way, disconnect the heated wiper wires as you lift the scuttle off.
  10. I had the same issues. Soved by using some specially made copper gaskets (I think they may be by 7 workshop?), that cost a fortune, but do actually work.
  11. I agree with Kenny. To me 'first dibs' means I will have it at the price stated, not that I want to p*ss the seller around, and stop anyone else buying it, until I decide it's not for me, and I post withdrawing the dibs. There have been a few cases lately where people have withdrawn first dibs, and to me that is not acceptable.
