andy_h
Due to unstable side mirrors when mounted on doors I made a bracket a good 4 years or so ago to mount my Spa mirror [other mirrors are available] on the windscreen stansions, which means it is very stable and can be used with or without doors. This bracket has passed the test of time and use (road and track) and as other people think its a good idea and are now copying it, so I thought I could get this made as a bulk buy. It's a small metal plate and uses the existing fixings so no drilling of the stansions required. Pictures are below (in finding the pics shows how long ago I made the bracket). I have also walked/knocked into it a few times when in the garage and moved the mirror but never damanged the bracket or its mountings. But this obviously depends on the quality/thinkness of metal, which will be discussed with the manufacturer.Pics: rear view: https://picasaweb.google.com/115068371215285948542/CaterhamMirrorBracket#6010767191484278162Front view: https://picasaweb.google.com/115068371215285948542/CaterhamMirrorBracket#6010767181512204914Without doors: https://picasaweb.google.com/115068371215285948542/CaterhamMirrorBracket#6010767194547745266With Doors: https://picasaweb.google.com/115068371215285948542/CaterhamMirrorBracket#6010767215994436274Pics are of the same car (mine) I've just had a bit of upgraditus Before I can get a price and need to know rough numbers. Who interested? I expect cost to be around £10 each but this is my guess and subject to cost from manufacture and numbers. Please post here with interest. I don't mind if you want to request interest from other 7 owners who may not be able to post themselves. Cheers, Andy 05/11/13 Post updated with more info and pics added. We could also offer packages to include the mirrors, in white, black, or carbon Prices to follow obviously, but available if interested. andy_h
Yes, can be used with wind deflectors. Uses the same fixing points as the hinges, so works with sidescreens, wind deflectors, or neither as you only need the stansions with normal hinge holes. Thanks, A. Stationary M25 Traveller
Just a thought to keep costs down ... why crank it ...... keep it flat and make it a little longer - then it can be used either side by turning it over.
The Laddie
No crank, no turn.
andy_h
Thanks for the feedback 'Cranking' was needed to get the angle right. If you look at the front photo the angle of the mirror mount is different to the angle of the stansion. Thanks, Andy
Stationary M25 Traveller
But ... the arm of the mirror ends in a ball joint .... so adjustable ?

RS2000
The cranking is to allow for the fitment to the new bracket of the mirror mount isn't it?
andy_h
yes as the ball socket on the mirror does not give enough of an angled adjustment. It did take a while templating to get to the current item.
NickK123
Both sides please. (Where did the mirrors come from?)
