  1. As subject - nice day for it!
  2. Tigerseal bonded nearside front wing that I did myself has to date lasted 4 years, the offside that Caterham Midlands did gave up the ghost after 3 years - I don't know what they use as standard, but I suspect that it was probably more the quality of their work rather than the product used... (and the bonded bigheads used to attach the mudflap on the 'caterham' side also disappeared around the same time...)
  3. Wow that's a gap between a spot and response Nice one Neil and welcome to Blatchat There are a few of us around, I'm west of you, there are a few in Swindon and some to the South of you!
  4. Sat in a queue (for traffic lights at road works) Burgundy 7, two up trying to get through Devizes, Wiltshire about 5pm today (29/06/2015)

    P9REX?

I think it was green with yellow stripes, heading North out of Marlborough towards Swindon/M4 at about 5pm today (Sunday 28th June) fromme in my red Roomster
  6. Ah yes, well spotted!
  7. Hi John and welcome to posting on blatchat. I fitted the SFS set a couple of years back and haven't experienced any issues that I know of - where is it bending? posting a picture would be good
  8. Isn't that why Charles says that the plate has "....a number of holes to allow adjustments depending on where you sit in relation to the HANS...."?
  9. Probably Tim waiting recovery.... got taken out by a Citreon C4 on the roundabout.... no one hurt, but his 7 not driveable
  10. I did a smallish bit of wrap as can be seen in my signature picture - I did it to cover a crack in the nosecone and because I fancied something a bit different - Grubbster gave me advice as he had just done his academy car, his advice was invaluable! It is fairly straightforward depending on what you are wrapping, however the internal curves around the inside edge of the nosecone were tricky. It is quite forgiving so take your time and it should be ok

    and was it green?
  12. Thanks Ian, another good idea! The other side was also putting up a fight! but plusgas and a bit of BFI did the trick again
  13. Another good shout John - thank you (and of course may help others out in the future through the search facility...)
  14. Thanks JK, like the idea of ratchet to fixed point, being careful not to pull it off the trolley jack... Thankfully the plusgas has seemed to have done it's job and now managed to move it with more kicks Wheel off now!
  15. Rear brake pads on my FWD Roomster need changing so in advance of getting the parts I wanted to have a good look at the set up etc Took the wheel bolts off but cannot break the seal of the alloy wheel on the hub, seems to be stuck fast. Tried kicking it etc but doesn't want to come off Given it a careful spray of plusgas, but whilst I let that soak in/penetrate, any suggestions please???
  16. Thanks Paul - catch up soon
  17. Hi Paul - also spotted you this morning in Nursteed Raod this morning, but you were on foot this time! Apologies to Jane, really only saw it was someone petite in he passenger seat, not heard of Sezincote before - checked it out, looks very impressive! Kerry has a stall at the Bath & West this week (gulp!) in the Westridge shopping marquee doing a small selection from her PinkBox Boutique range, so we were set up today and I've taken the week off to help out... Yes, must catch up soon! Cheers
  18. Paul Manning blatting through Calne on his way home I guess! Looked like Grandson in passenger seat - hope you had a good day, and is that a new baseball cap Paul?

    M74 Scotland

Spotted lunchtime Saturday 23rd May, heading North on the M74 Scotland in the vicinity of Junction 9 in some sticky traffic - red Caterham with wide centre stripe - appeared to be 1 up, possibly full cage
  20. On a previous post about lack of supply of windscreens someone posted this: Don't know about windscreen replacement companies in UK, but here in NZ most of the big companies will cut a laminated screen, tinted if you want, to the pattern of your one.
  21. Don't know the answer to your question, but mine is ex academy (2006) and has fixed passenger Tillet and adjustable driver Tillet I'm a shorty and have my seat as far forward as I can get it, never bothered me that passenger is 'behind' me, means I get a better view to the left at junctions etc. Mine has the short passenger footwell, so the passenger not having anything to brace against never seems to be an issue, the issue sometimes can be where they put their knees!

    What MIG Welder?

Normally the inert gas shrouds the weld to keep the oxygen out, with gasless you use a special wire that has a flux to replace the inert gas to kep the oxygen out Info can be found here http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/gasless-mig.htm
  23. That shouldn't be snapping then!
  24. I got my foam strip from the Woolies stand at the Stoneleigh Kit Car show last year
