  1. But as with Yokohamas, they'll move round the rim far enough to make it make it utterly pointless.
  2. Did you read it on the internet? If so, I'd better stock up on coolant for Dijon next week
  3. What are the alleged reliability issues with the plastic tanked rads? We've been running several of them for a couple of years now without a failure. The only Radtec we ever tried was less efficient and weeped like Heather Mills on a chat show.
  4. They had an ali spacer plate in there as standard. If you didn't get that with the cage, did you get the bracket that goes behind the fillet?
  5. On behalf of a customer who has been using this to tow his Caterham - contact details below: Full M Sport spec including: Suspension & anti roll bars M kick plates on all doors M steering wheel & gear knob Sports seats Xenons CD Multichanger in boot BMW removeable tow bar complete with bumper insert when not fitted so you can't tell it has one! ISOFIX points in the back Dog guard and load liner (never been a dog in the car btw) boot floor protector The interior is cloth with Alcantara sides in excellent condition, no tears, rips, sagging etc. The bodywork is in good condition, no rust etc. Mechanically absolutely 100%. This car has been looked after impeccably and everything on it works. Full BMW service history up to 145k miles then local specialist since who has serviced it more regularly than it really needed. Whenever parts have been needed it has only had genuine BMW parts fitted. A recentish list of jobs includes a new MAF sensor and fully reconditioned turbo and a new water pump. It is a seriously nice car and hides the mileage exceptionally well. This is not one of the typical clocked naily types that seem to litter the market. I know it's sad but I did genuinely look at quite a few cars before I bought this one. It is far nicer with this mileage on than some that I saw with an indicated 80k miles on! The performance is fantastic and economy is great too. 2001 Y - 170,000 miles Please no scammers, wasters etc. I really don't have time. Please also don't call after 6pm. Texts anytime are fine. 07702 600 696 Cheers Rich Price - £5,500 Edited by - stuart faulds on 6 Jun 2008 13:26:39
  6. Been a bit busy this last month - sorry I missed you. Should be in both Friday and Tuesday though. Combe was horrible - not only the wettest race meeting I can remember, but easily the worst run
  7. I'd have thought Loctite 574 would do the job. I've plenty in stock if you want to stop by one night Will?
  8. It was never designed to reduce noise - its primary function is to equalise air flow and temps across all 4 cylinders, whilst offering some protection for the filter. If anything it increases power by a fraction, and while it changes the engine note, it's no quieter.
  9. Personally I think the current airbox is perfect, and we *definitely* don't need to make a new one.
  10. They don't delaminate in either direction, and in practice it makes bugger all difference which way they're run. Wet or dry.
  11. I'll take the engine if Spoona476 doesn't want it.
  12. Do not use the locknut, but that end does go into the T. It will only all go together one way.
  13. Stiffer rear springs and less rake - why did you change from the 215's?

    Which chassis are you using?
  15. Why not just drain a random amount of oil out of each Bilstein for the same sort of effect?
  16. Last bump before I stick it on ebay.
  17. 'Blues' to me would suggest a pagid RS4-2 - a fast road pad.
  18. Plenty of lookers, but no bites, so I'll up the ante - I'll take a 5 speed in part-ex and fit it to any K series Caterham for £1500.
  19. 6 speed gearbox from 2004 Superlight (135bhp) - never been fitted to a car since full rebuild at Road & Race including uprated selectors. Filled with MTL and ready to fit - collection from near Harlow, Essex, any Bookatrack day, or can courier at extra cost (probably £30 or so). £1400
  20. Personally I'd fit an OS01A kit from Caterham and be done with it once and for all - it's the remote sender kit which comes with a new filter housing and all the relevant parts.
  21. Well there's only one tyre available that was actually developed on a Caterham - personally I wouldn't recommend anything other than the CR500 for road use.
  22. I think the new pumps are slightly over 3.5 bar, but not enough to warrant another regulator.
  23. I suspect you're on your own with the exhaust issue - I doubt Raceline have seen the SF SV chassis yet. The fuel pump will be fine - the pump regulates internally so no need for a return line.
