  1. The latest spec pads (with the 2 ears for the pins) will fit all 3 major variations of the caliper. HOWEVER, they do have a greater swept area than the older pads, so unless you're fitting new disks, expect bugger all braking for a while until the pads wear into the shape of the disk. The only caliper you need to loosen in order to change the pads is the latest one with the 2 pins (the upper pin wants to go through the wingstay)- the others can remain on the upright.
  2. Danny's are in the outlet casting, not the head - there is a fairly obvious place to drill and tap if you take it off.
  3. Mike, It's 1/8 NPT (tapered) - you can normally get it into the rear water elbow on the head somewhere.
  4. Caterham sell all the parts seperately - including the grub screw.
  5. ptpt - the grub screw is imperial, however off the top of my head I can't remember what it is. All the parts of the clamp are available separately from Caterham. Jim - the *only* part of the clamp that should touch the flat in the lower column is the grub screw - the whole purpose of this joint is to allow the columns to slide into each other in the event of the rack moving backwards. Sounds like you have engineered this facility out...
  6. Hi, Blatmal doesn't seem to be getting to you - can you email rich@outofthecity.co.uk please. Cheers Stuart
  7. Now all sold (subject to me finding my camera charger ) - thanks for the interest.
  8. No email from either of you - can you try again to stuart@fauldsport.com please
  9. Before they go on ebay, the following are from a 2003 Superlight: Geniune Caterham carbon dash - cutouts for all standard dials/switches and starter button. No extra holes or damage £100 EU3 rev counter - the one with the 3 lights built into it (caterham part no. 71261) - £45 MPH speedometer - later type with calibration dipswitches (71255) - £45 Oil pressure guage - £15 Temp guage - £15 Fuel guage - £15 All guages come with the mounting bracket and knurled knobs and the bulbholder where relevant.
  10. Yes - the EU2 supersport is the same 1.6 and 1.8.
  11. Tom, it'll be from the outside of the thermostat housing where the J hose goes on - it's a hangover from the Rover installation where a rigid pipe is fitted there and not needed.
  12. Early vinyl/plastic 6 speed knob wanted please - contact rich@outofthecity.co.uk if you have one left over from a shiny knob upgrade
  13. You're right, that is some engine data. Not for the engine in question, but undoubtably engine data
  14. Neil, if you need it redone properly in the same area, drop me a line and I'll point you in the right direction.
  15. I'm tring to avoid thinking about superchargers Mike
  16. What are you trying to improve access to Mike? Other than the dry sump pump and hoses, nothing's *that* tricky to get at.
  17. Nifty, what is actually bent? If it's a Caterham R400 exhaust, then the primaries are available seperately (ISTR around £100 each but it's been a few years since I bought one).
  18. Personally I prefer a torque wrench to knocking noises, and thus far (some 16 years in motorsport) I've never lost a wheelnut, let alone a wheel. Anyone that thinks they are using a precautionary approach to safety by *not* checking something as basic as wheel nuts before venturing on track, is grossly mislead in my opinion. FWIW I fit longer studs to any car I run, but the primary reason is making it easier to fit wheels in a hurry - I'm 100% confident that the shorter studs are up to the job when in good condition and used correctly.
  19. A genuine triumph of theory over testing - well done.
  20. It doesn't use a spacer ring, but I suspect you're breaking new ground by fitting one with VHPD SV primaries.
  21. On behalf of a former owner - please contact Richard on 0788 785 2513. The trailer is in Hampton. PRG Mini Super Sport trailer, low mileage, with rare detachable bar (makes teh trailer a lot shorter lengthwise for extra garage space). Perfect for caterhams and sevens. purchased in 2004 Used for 2 years of trackdays, around 20 times or so. 11' x 5'5" bed size Mandatory Centre decking 1500kg gross weight winch spare wheel tow hitch Adjustable wheel chocks bradley locking mechanism ramps note that the brackets that lock the ramps in place need riveting back down onto the decking. also, the plastic glass over the rear revserse light is missing. Overall in good working condition and has never let me down. In particular, the detachable bar has proved invaluable creating space in my garage for further storage and the decking always meant that my shiny caterham always went out on track in pristone condition.
