  1. Hi Dicky, as you may know i sold mine back in April. Similar vintage with less miles and bigger engine but (a bit) more money (I put it up for £12,750). It sold easily. Really spend time writing your ad carefully and take good pictures and it will sell , no probs.
  2. Twingo RS is good fun but coming out of a good 205 GTi, you will feel cheated , trust me. Clio 200 is a world appart from the Twingo , both in terms of performance and as a vehicle in itself. This is quite normal as there is a big price gap between the 2. PS: I have had two 205 GTIs and have worked at Renault for nearly 10 years so speak from experience

Well done! Too early for me but it was the perfect colour combo. Out of curiosity was it sold privately or by the trader?

HI Steve, Grille is now yours, will post ASAP
  5. I am with BOSS and others on that refer them to the DVLA
  6. Apologies in advance for the very vague advert I have a lot of car magazines to donate mostly EVO I have bought tis mag regularly in the last 6 or so years so should have several dozens issues. I am not asking money for them just a decent donation to NtL and that you collect either from West London or Epsom Surrey. Please post your interest below and if there is any I will try to fin some time to compile a rough list of issues I have.

Hi Steve, are you OK if I leave a week to the gentleman in Canada to see the thread? then it is yours!
  8. OK I am now officially thick 😬 thank you guys!
  9. Martin, interesting feedback, i have to confess i did not even try selling to the trade as I thought they would offer too little money. Glad for you and useful advice to those looking to sell theirs with minimum hassle. Tim, obviously I hope for you that you get £12.5K rather than £11.5K ...
  10. well then I must be really thick because i followed the signature to your website John and could not find anything looking like a build manual 😬 St Eve, as I am obviously thich i have sent you a blatmail 😬
  11. I have done a search ain the archives nd all the links I found are not valid anymore. CC UK website only has sigma/duratec metric cars ... Any charitable soul out there could point me to a PDF version of the build manual for a K-series Roadpsort around the 1998 vintage (any imperial K-series will do) Thank you
  12. yes Tim exactly, if you advertise the car with the bits the buyer will want them for free. My advice is sell the car, offer buyer the accessories at market rate, if he/she doesn't want them, Blatchat is the place to advertise Ironically, it took me longer and much more efforts to sell £1K wort of parts than £12.5 K worth of car 😬
  13. Hi Tim, depends how fast you want to sell. I sold my car last month. I priced it keenly (i.e. realistically) it went to a good home in 48hrs. I know I could have gotten more for it with more patience but there are so many scammers, timewasters and relatively few genuine buyers that I could not contemplate the hassle So my humble advice would be: if you want to sell quickly put it up for £11,750 and sell accessories separately (first refusal to buyer) I have also watched pistonheads for months and I came to this conclusion : overpriced cars DO NOT sell. In my humble opinion, there is no point putting it up for £15K you won't get a call ... I also noticed that anything over 13.5K except obviously genuine superlight , R300 etc ...seems hard to shift. Anything K-series below £10K sells very quickly : you car sound far too nicely specced to fall below that threshold hope this helps Edited by - Miura on 13 Jun 2011 17:12:02
