  1. Just for info the cr500 in 205 width seems wider than other nominally 205 tyres For my rear road tyres I run 205 toyo 888 on 6 inch rims and they are fine. In fact they seem to be the recommended size see here They also seem fine on 8.5 inch rims though as well. Will
  2. I met a chap at a trackday recently who had had the canley kit and he said they were a copy of the ap kit. Don't know full details but he had problems with leaks and ended up swapping the calipers for wilwoods the night before the trackday. W
  3. If I still had the blackbird and time to tinker I would love to try having a hand clutch lever on the stick and just 2 pedals like a cart for left foot braking and throttle. If you have ridden bikes the clutch would be very natural to the left hand and left foot braking would make throttle blips on the down shift very easy. Left foot braking would take practice but seems simple on a cart after all . Will
  4. I did my minno. A local van lining place supplied proper grippy flooring board that they put down in the back of vans for 30 quid cut to size . Fitted with a few bolts and a timber support if I recall. The ramps work as before as I slid the board under the little tabs for the ramps. I just had to drill new holes in the pins for the ramps. 5. Graham. I will have them. Will. Ps. I think I bought some 888 from you a few years ago?
  6. Thanks Alan As its for charidy I will also match Alex's bid of £200 but split however you feel appropriate. How would you like me to pay? Also will you let Geoff know and ask him to send me paperwork. Best wishes Will
  7. I will start the sniping then at £181 split however Alan feels fit. Best wishes Will
  8. Thanks Geoff and everyone else involved in the organisation. My neck and forearms are still aching so must have been a good day. Will
  9. Interested. Can you bm me any info. Thanks Will
  10. I've had that Halfords one for a few years and it is OK but not really ideal for big engines or hard use with say a big flat battery in very cold conditions. I have also have had this powervamp one for a year here and it is very good indeed. This winter it has started a piling rig, a dumper and today a big loader thing. It has also happily started a 8.1 v8 boat in the midst of winter. I think it has the same battery as the powervamp one in my caterham and can be changed if and when it dies. I think I paid 150 for it it but it may have been a special show price at autosport. Will
  11. worst I've been to Spa thread ever! (Jealous smiley here) Will
  12. Thanks Charles Mine is GEMS and was supplied by spa about 2 yrs ago as a replacement but the danfoss ones look identical. I will give them a try. Looks like they even have a depot near oulton. thanks again Will
  13. What a joke! Checked with SPA no spares whatsoever and don't know when they will have nor would they explain the reason why. Spoke to GEMS Sorry cant sell to me unless I have an account. Cant use a card etc. Notwithstanding checked stock for me and they don't recognise the gems part number and say it must be a special or from Gems usa even though says Gems uk on it. Maybe they could make me one in 4 to 6 weeks. Gems suggested RS but they cannot match or supply it. Given up and fitted an ancient smiths guage with a new capillary pipe. Looks well tasty attached to the central mirror behind the aero but will give me some comfort at oulton on Wednesday I suppose. Thanks all. Still looking for one if anyone has one gathering dust. Will PS stick with stack in future
