  1. Hi Folks, I have 2 old A048r's that are clogging up the shed. Soft compound, a few mm before you hit the wear bars so plenty of life left for trackdays or even road use. They are pretty old, 2010 I think based on the code on the sidewall so not much use to chase the hillclimb lap records but for fun on a trackday, could be pretty useful. Located in Aberdeen, but courier collection no issue. £50 the pair Mike
  2. Hi Jon, Halfhood still for sale and does include the bag/wrap to clip it onto the roll bar onto of the boot. Mine was a 52plate single diagonal and it worked fine for me. Cheers Mike
  3. Evening, I have a set of 4 OEM fitment tyres from a current shape ford ranger pickup. They have done 5k miles and have 8mm of tread left, they look as good as new. Will suit any of the japanese pickups if you are running 16" wheels. £100 a pop new from camskill, how about £200 + shipping for all 4? Try it out here for a while before putting on eBay. Located in Aberdeen, photos available Mike
  4. Hi All, Got some SV parts that are surplus to requirements; Can email photos to interested parties. SOLD - Aero + Mirrors - Genuine Caterham carbon aero - this was used twice so spent 2 days fitted to the car and is as new. The 3 mirrors are standard racetech, not carbon. £300 + shipping. Draft Reducer with pocket- Softbits draft reducer to suit leather seats in an SV. Has central triangle pocket. Good condition, maybe a little dusty but still spot on with no damage - £70 + shipping SOLD - Half Hood - Soft Bits half half hood. Came off a CSR but fitted my SV with a single diagonal roll bar. Rear legs are a touch long but works fine so maybe more suited to metric roll bar? According to the website the double diagonal is different?? - £90 + shipping SV K-series Cat Bypass Pipe - £220 new from Caterham. http://caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=1066 Suits the 4:1 caterham system with cat but allows the cat to be removed. The tabs are broken off (as usual...?) but good condition other than that. 10min with autosol and it comes up looking spot on as it was professionally polished prior to me fitting it. £100 + shipping All parts located in Aberdeenshire Regards Mike

  7. thanks Paul, no idea how I forgot that key piece of info!
  8. thanks for the replies, seems I have an issue bespoke to me! I had the conditioner on it due to the alarm draining the battery. This was on the old car and that is now for sale so I wont be doing anything to that now. The new car has an FIA switch (which incidentally caused me to NOT go on a blat on Sunday morning as it failed and left me stuck all belted up with no-where to go....) so this may mean that my issue goes away as it wont need to be kept on a conditioner... Once the new car makes it into the garage I'll see if the charger wants to work with the PVR that is fitted to that car... if not it seems its no big issue with an FIA switch fitted. Thanks Mike

  10. Mornign All, I have a CTek 4003 conditioner and recently changed over to a PVR25 battery about 6 months ago. The ctek had worked perfectly with the old banner battery but I have been having issues with the PVR. When the battery was new it would sometimes take 3 or 4 attempts at resetting the Ctek before it would settle into a proper charge, usually after 30min or so it would trip out and show the red error light. It seems to manage the intial charge stage but when it goes into "rest and measure" stage it trips out... I thought it might have been the parasitic drag of the immobiliser? I managed to get around this by disconnecting the earth lead when the car was parked up and the Ctek seemed a lot happier. Now even with the earth removed, the C-tek is still not happy and gives an error message. I read the AGM batteries can be hard to charge and it can help to use the "frost/cold" setting on the charger, but this does not work either. When the ctek is used on a Banner battery on the other caterham the Ctek still works perfectly. The PVR has never been run flat and always kept topped up. Any thoughts? Regards Mike
  11. for the quickest sale in history... I'll take it! Cheers Mike
  12. I've contacted cheesman but they need to know the exact part number before they can quote. I'll also try a local fabricator... but being bassed in Aberdeen the local fabricators are used to supplying oil and gas companies so charge like a wounded bull! Thanks Mike
  13. I am looking to sell my SV as I have purchased an R400 spec car and the wife wont let me keep two caterhams! The specification is as follows; 2002 Caterham SV in Caterham Red 18k miles 1.8 VVC 160hp 5 speed gearbox height adjustable suspension ZF LSD with 3.62 ratio 13" Compomotive CXR wheels with CR500 tyres (175 front and 205 rear) apollo tank mechanical oil pressure and oil temp gauge leather seats lowered floor on drivers side quick release steering Carbon dash carbon front guards Shift light Please see photos here: The only other things to note is there is a new banner battery fitted, and the windscreen surround has been replaced so its no longer corroded as per the photos. Tax runs out at new year... have to put the new disc in the holder. The tyres are CR500's that are less than half worn. I have just given the car new oil (Motul Sport 5w-50), filter, coolant and gearbox oil. I have done all the servicing of the car whilst I have owned it and I have the receipts of all the parts bought. Cam belts were done at the time I purchased the car in Aug 2010, as was all fluids in the car (inc brake and clutch, diff and gearbox). I do oil and filter yearly, and gearbox and diff oil every two years with redline oils. Brake pads are pretty new, only about 3000miles old. Ferodo DS2500's on the front and mintex 1144's on the rear. I put in two new rear dampers about 3000miles ago as well as they were weeping. The car is based near Aberdeen. £17 500 ono Regards Mike 07842 819 nine nine seven michael.eamer (at) gmail dot com Edited by - Mike Eamer on 4 Aug 2014 16:39:34 Edited by - Mike Eamer on 25 Aug 2014 16:06:12 Edited by - Mike Eamer on 25 Aug 2014 16:06:43
