  4. I have the CC dry sump pan and your right in thinking its the diff filler plug shown. I've just looked as my engine is sitting on the dining room table!!
  5. Why not, you would then be able to have a cooling shower on those hot sunny days
  6. Simon, set arrived safely and great quality. Phil
  7. I also use a cut down wet sump gasket and have done for the last 5 yrs with no issues, in fact I'm still using the original one! plus i remove the sump pan every oil change. I tried 574 and got leaks plus its a pain in the 🙆🏻 to get the dried stuff off.
  8. What version of 5 speed box is it, ratios etc
  9. I've got that type and they are so easy to use, well worth it IMHO

  11. Was in burgundy during the heatwave of 2003 when I had a 1.6kSS 6 speeder like yours. Temps were constantly above 35c and frequently topped 40c for the whole fortnight, no probs at all. Recommend plenty of chilled lager for yourself though
  12. If Andy declines then i will definately take them Phil
  13. Got them om my 7. Also replaced all the hoses on my cossie about 15yrs ago and they still look brand new now, I'm sure rubber ones would have perished long ago. So yes its worth it

    discs

Managed to get the very last pair of Alcon one piece discs, he's still got plenty of bell type. Had a good chat and if enough interest is shown there is a chance they might do another run. However, Alcon's minimum batch size is 500, ie 250 pairs so this is unlikely. However PB said they could produce there own with sufficient interest.

    discs

I've got the caterham big brakes on my 2002 car, however my vented discs measure 247mmx18mm. I've got 2.5mm running clearance in the caliper so no way a 254mm disc would fit. Is caterhams 10" disc actually 10" or have they just rounded up the measurement. Something odd going on here. My mistake, used by bust tape they do measure 254! Edited by - prs on 3 Jun 2009 16:18:55

  17. 7WOTW, just changed mine again after 2yrs 😳. However the rubber does now seem different so perhaps this set might last 3yrs 😬. So what are the new suspension mods like.

    Luggage carrier

Have been to france 7 times now, each trip has lasted 3 weeks. We don't bother with any kind of luggage rack - no spare wheel so a bit difficult! We just simply pack our clothes etc directly into the boot, don't use holdalls as they waste space mind you my boot is totally carpeted throuhout. We stay at gites and make sure they have a washing machine! Suppose if your camping then its different. Have a great trip. Phil
