  1. Caterham will want the car for at least a week to perform the PBC and IVA test. Therefore you can't wait for it. You will need to take it up, return home and then go back to collect it. You may be able to drive it home, if they post the IVA cert and you are luck enough that the DVLA don't want to inspect it. Caterham do state that they won't store the car following the IVA, but I guess you'll get a few days. Collecting mine on Thursday assuming it passes tomorrow. Regards Andrew
  2. Thanks for your replies both publicly and privately. All now sorted. Regards Andrew
  3. I need to hire a car trailer to move the Caterham in the Dartford area. I've looked at the web, but nothing obvious. Can anyone suggest any suitable companies I could try. looking for 0.5 days hire. Looking to hire for this Thursday afternoon. Any help much appreciated. Thanks Andrew
  4. I had this issue on my new build - couldn't squezze in 1.9L. I did a bit of web detective work. The later T9 gearbox has an oil capacity of 1.2 L and the early box 1.9L There is a good article on the T9 here: http://www.morganownersclub.com.au/gearbox_conversion.htm Regards Andrew
  5. Spiderlane, it looks like your indicators are indeed on the dash as the stack only requires 4 buttons and you have six in total. I think mine has five buttons, 4 for the stack and 1 for launch control and then the 2 due for fitting on the steering wheel. Caterham want to charge me 4 hours labour (£300) to install the steering wheel mounted button, I guess I could just drill another hole. Regards Andrew
  6. Spiderline, when the kit arrives the indicator switches are not fitted to the steering wheel as it would not pass the IVA. The two indicator switches and small loom are temporarily installed in place of two stack buttons and then installed in the steering wheel post IVA. What switches have you got for indicators?
  7. Nigel, I beleive that Caterham can reflash the dash controller module (PCB mounted behind the dash) to stop the indicators affecting your ability to turn the engine off, there was also a problem with the headlamps being on and in a certain state affecting the switching off on the engine. It would be interesting to know if they could reflash it to stop a long push when the engine is running, re-engaging the starter, maybe a timer controlled function from initial ignition switch on or crank to stop recranking without an ignition cycle? Regards Andrew
  8. I spoke to Chris Weston at the factory to confirm that the 2 Brown wires should connect to the solenoid. I had thought that this was the case as the ring was M8, not M6 as in the case of the battery. Regards Andrew
  9. These go inside the boot. They fit the corner between the seat back panel and the boot side panels
  10. The two panels with the big holes are the knee trims that fit under the dash at either end. The other looks like the tunnel cover - but it doesn't look like the correct shape. Regards Andrew
  11. Black = B Blue = U Brown = N S = slate grey P = Pink All of the rest are as you would expect
  12. Agree the 2 brown wires go to the starter solenoid and there is no engine loom earth. It may be worth calling Caterham to see if you can get some pictures of the IVA approved wiring layout. It is a lot different and requires alot more tie wraps and saddle clamps every 12 inches. I see your multiway plug is sticking up in the air. So did mine, it felt like I was stressing it when I tried to secure it - but it needs to be for the IVA. Regards Andrew
  13. I fitted mine using M5 (or was it M4) dome head hex head nuts and bolts. I think I used 8 on each. Looks really good and easy to remove. No more obvious than rivets. I also used the rubber trim that Caterham supply for the fron arches on three sides. Really pleased with the look.
  14. You can download the standard Sigma build manual from the Caterham web site + the R400 engine installation supplement. It's not perfect, but that's what I have used. Regards Andrew
