I intend to change the camber on my 1.6ss which has wide track. Problem is my ball joint seperator, it' a sykes pickevant seems too thick to push under the rubber boot I feel that if I push it any further it will spilt the boot, is their another special tool that Caterham use for this or what other way can Isplit the joint, cheers Phil

Thanks Phantom, did you fit it yourself and if so was it a pain. I'm considering covering the nose cone and rear arches. bonnet edges and was going to do it myself, Phil

Well Andrew you need to get yourself under the car and take a look up. The filler plug is about half way along the gearbox casing , that is from the bellhousing to the prop end and it,s about half way up on the drivers side. Yes you will need a trimmed down allen key I think it,s a 15mm. This is a good one to skin your knuckles!!!

The green coloured assembly guide. Section 3 sub section 3.4 Lower wishbones. Still as you say it seems to perform ok on that setting.

Thanks Peter, trouble is the manual says for wide track it should be no washers on the front leg and four in front of the rear. The set up I have is for normal wishbones but on wide track if you get my drift. Am I going to notice much difference if I change the washers around? Are you going to Stoneleigh, if so see you their. cheers phil

Hi guys according to the manual the lower wishbones should have no washers on the front leg and four in front of the rear leg. The set up on my 1.6 supersport which has wide track is for the normal wishbones ie one in front and two behind the front leg and two either side of the rear leg. As it stands the car handles extremely well, my question is will I gain much improvement by moving the washers around? Am I right in assuming their will be greater stability but the steering will become heavier? Lets hope this 7 weather continues all summer!
