  1. Have had this problem in the past. Surprisingly "Superglue" has done the trick, lasted a couple of years to date. Rgds HPC150 Superweight R600kg 😬
  2. Hi Richard, I've used Tyreland at Ashley Cross. You do need to keep an eye on them and highlight the jacking points etc. Managed to stop one guy jacking the car up without a block of wood to soften the impact. Have used them 3 times without a problem. Just hover and look concerned Rgds HPC150 Superweight R600kg 😬
  3. Stu, If you want to see what how the wheels look fully painted check out here and go to the " Luddites.org.uk" section (Orange section on the left) and choose "Pyrenees 2005", "Photos" tab. My car is the one with the white nose band there are a few shots that show the wheels off quite well. And as Norm says . . plse check that figure 😳 Rgds HPC150 Superweight R600kg 😬
  4. Stu, It was a local company in Poole. I can find out who it was if you wish (Clive my fellow Luddite did all refurbing work, he used to own a car repair centre). If you pushed me for a torque figure 18lbs rings a bell, but please get it verified, it's not a loud bell ! Rgds HPC150 Superweight R600kg 😬
  5. Stu, Those are the one's we're running. Whatever Mike told us seems to have done the trick. I've done around 6k miles on them and my firend has done similar with a bit of track work also. We did check them after about 500 miles and all was ok. Could you not put a torque wrench on them now and work up from a low setting, to see what they're currently at? Rgds BTW - We had the bolts re-nickle plated to get them looking up to scratch again. If you do take the wheel apart (they are only really 2 part) probably worth making sure they relocate in the exact same holes wheel to hub. Edited by - ian balson on 13 Sep 2006 17:01:50
  6. Hi Stu, A couple of us resprayed 2 sets a few years back, but neither of us can rightly remember the exact torque settings. Best advice would be to give Mike Barnby a call (01634 711801 ). Thats what we did . . . Rgds HPC150 Superweight R600kg 😬
  7. Been running them for about 3 or 4 years both front and back. I wanted some wings that didn't need painting or need protecting with stone guards, I haven't had any star cracks in that time either. They appear to be one piece of carbon fibre coated in resin, they're not the lightest of wings, but I'm no Carbon Fibre expert.. You can almost see through them i.e. if you shine a light from under the wing at night you can see light through the weave. I had no trouble fitting them, as far as I can see they are the same shape as CC wings (I don't know if they have changed in the past few years ??). Rgds IAn HPC150 Superweight R600kg 😬
  8. Hi, Here's an exploded view - http://www.racetep.com/weber/40DCOE151.pdf Item #8 Rgds HPC150 Superweight R600kg 😬
  9. Got one for the Rev counter from Redline. HPC150 Superweight R600kg 😬
  10. The thing you dropped off . . . did you carry it in the passengers footwell? May have dislogged a relay, did it myself in France last week. HPC150 Superweight R600kg 😬
  11. Last time I measured, it was doing 21ish. Std HPC, 175bhp 45s etc. I start looking petol stations with 130 mile onthe clock, which can be a pain. Ian.
  12. Kevin, At home today (Fri) and will be around over the weekend. Cheers Ian
  13. Kevin, Mines out the car at present, so your welcome to borrow the bolt the take to the "bolt" shop. cheers Ian
  14. Tim, I fitted the setup recommended by Roger King, and this has worked well, better on part throttle opening, better progression and a better response to flooring the throttle. It's probably lost a little at the top end compared to the old setup, but that was the only place the old setup was any good! Choke = 38mm Main = 155 Air = 170 Slow Running = 60F8 Pump = 35 or 40 (I went for the 35) Float = 12-13mm, 8mm closed. Are you going to the West Hants meet tonight? Rgds Ian
  15. Chaps, I think I have the original leads on my car, so their about 11 years old. So about time I changed them. What are the alternatives? And where from? It's a 2.0 XE on carbs. Std Distributor. Thanks Ian
