  1. Excellent tks! Kevin Thomas (No longer) the home of LIMEY ☹️
  2. Looking for a resistor to mimic a 12V/21W bulb (car with an indicator flasher unit designed for 2 x 21W + 5W, but only using 1 x 21W + 1 x 5W) Trying to remember my O-level physics I worked out that current would be 1.75A and therefore resistance would be (roughly) 7ohms. Looking in Maplin, most resistors seem to be designated in Watts or Ohms/Watts which has got me really confused! (should've listened more 25 years ago I guess!) Can anyone recommend a suitable resistor or ideally direct me to a suitable product I can go and buy from Maplin. Thanks in advance Kevin Thomas (No longer) the home of LIMEY ☹️

  7. Hi Barry, If you go to http://www.testiphone.com/ and then put the BlatChat URL into the URL window on the phone you should see the blank space to the side of the forum. Kevin Thomas The home of LIMEY
  8. Per discussion on BlatChat, possible introduction of an iPhone/mobile optimised style. Similar to Big Type but avoiding the blank space on the right of the forum display. Kevin Thomas The home of LIMEY

  11. Hi, its an Elise hard top (S2 short version). It's an eBay auction that ends tomorrow evening so won't know for sure until then. Would be happy to meet up in Caterham to collect. Ta in advance, I'll let you know if the auction comes to fruition. Kevin Thomas The home of LIMEY
  12. Hi, Just trying to establish possibility before I consider bidding on a collection only item in Leeds on eBay. Poole/B'mth would be perfect but anywhere in the region would be hugely helpful. Failing that, London Croydon/Sutton area is another option that would work for me??? Thanks very much in advance. Kevin Thomas The home of LIMEY
  13. Thanks to this thread, and the others on Chit Chat discussing side-repeaters at MOT time, I've just completed (well almost) this upgrade to my car. Details and piccies can be found here. As with some of you I found that, despite some product descriptions that might suggest otherwise, none of these Fiat/Ferrari repeaters come with bulb holders. Fortunately I managed to find some that are absolutely perfect for the job here In terms of measurements on the 5 3/4" headlamp bowls I found the midpoint to be 125mm from the top (or bottom!) of the bowl. My centre-point for the hole was 20mm from the front edge (the repeaters are ~30mm in diameter, so when fixed the repeater sits 5mm from the front edge). The hole required is ~19mm in diameter, but for accuracy (and due to a lack of a drill bit any larger than 10mm!) I drilled a smaller hole and then filed out until the repeater was a snug fit. Hope that helps anyone considering doing the same. Kevin Thomas The 7 Gallery... with added BBCi The home of LIMEY
