  1. I have a 350D, whilst the 350 part makes them sound old, they are still a VERY capable DSLR and this is very cheap, especially knowing that it is coming from the relative safety of the seven club
  2. Chaos...........you and the RIng, it's the way you drive her not to mention the monster power you are putting out.
  3. More stable, less expansion with heat............NOT much advantage to Mr Average road car
  4. I don't have a BEC, but plenty of years ownership of bikes and Blackbirds, I don't think I woudl like to put a BECthrough so much stress, the clutch is quite small and witht he added weiht and traction of the Caterham I think you will need a new set of plates afterwards (at least they easy to change, but you will also need oil and filter)
  5. Not the best hill climb for spectators and I pass it every day
  6. NIce spec the semi helical gearbox is fantastic with the Vx lump.
  7. I did this on my Vx Fitted a set of fast road cams (Q42H rings a bell??)NO modification required (circa £200 cams + cam belt kit £70)whilst retaining the hydraulic followers Popped it down to a local rolling road and after some simple rejetting she made 190bhp, rolling road said she would see 200 if I had 48 mm carbs but bottom end would not be so crisp. Limiting factor was the carbs and the fact that she was already on the max 41mm chokes. Car felt the same on bottom end, but pulled at the top end for approx another 500 rpm, made her quick enough to chase an SLR all over Wales and a blat soon afterwards inc some top speed antics. Rolling road was a very reputable local who builds all the Chevron race engines and is a webber agent. This was done 7 years ago and the car is still running fine (no longer my car) Total cost Cams 200 Belt 70 Rolling road 60 TOTAL 330 + a bit for inflation over last 7 years but stil within budget and not intrusive with reagrds to pistons or bottom end mods Edited by - Rob Morris on 17 Jul 2011 09:00:01
  8. Looking for a cheap tidy 88" landie series 3..........Diesel or Petrol, needs to be in good condition (NOT concourse) and prefer it to have overdrive, weber card conversion adn FW hubs.
  9. Wife's DMF on her 1 owner 55 plate VW was starting to play up and then cleared itself 😬 however, my friend has just shelled out £1300 to get the one on his 57 plate Mondeo fixed which had sheared two of the fixings into the crank (Ford were not interested in helping with cost) on the basis that his car had been 10 days late for one of the services in the 60,000 miles it had covered........previously he has owned over 20 Fords and has stated this will be the last one

  11. http://www.hickstead.co.uk/horse-shows/the-british-jumping-derby-meeting.aspx Our 12 year old Daughter is mad keen on horses and has asked if we can go as a family (3 total) to watch the Derby, potentially having to travel from Shropshire for the day out it will not exactly be a cheap day so I thought I would post on Blat Chat to see if anybody knows of discounts or FOC tickets that may be available??
  12. Still reasearching...........why are weekends so dam busy??? At least it gives a BTTT for the advert if nothing else
  13. May have an interest in this lens, just need to check things out first so can I have first dibs for 24hrs
  14. My Polo has developed the same fault (very intermitant), but I find switching it off and back on again clears it. However, I'm sure it will get worse as time passes so I would be interested to learn what fault you find. I shall pop to my local VW dealership to see what advice they have fro FREE
