I did mine by removing the drive shafts and hubs complete - easy enough to do.

Mines the same set up you have and I followed the guidance notes from QED to the letter. -
Mrs Palmer wants to sell her bicycle - it's been used once and has sat in the garage collecting dust for the last six months. I too have the QED remote thermostat kit fitted - rock steady temps and its a doddle to bleed the system through. £150 well spent in my opinion. -

Having finally finished rebuilding my 7 (S3) and using it on the road in anger I've noticed its very "flighty" and a little unstable when travelling at speed. Having had a look it would seem its still got a bit of "toe out"'and a fair bit of camber in the set up. Its not really something I feel I can sort myself and plan to take it to a garage to deal with it but......what sort of settings should I be aiming at for road use and can the local garage do it? Cheers.

I've got one - they look great and do prevent finger trapping. I had to file the welded seam on the bottom of the lever down a bit to get the end caps over but this was acheived with a hand file in just a few minutes. I'm sure no handle would be lighter but I don't really want my car to look unfinished and given I'm 6'3" and 90KGS handle or no handle won't make a s***s worth of difference weight wise.

To answer your questions sensibly - yes the face comes off the filler neck, unlock it and lift the tab, you'll need to give it a bit of a tug (yik yik) as the fit is quite tight. The filler neck fits directly to the bodywork inside the boot, there used to be supplied an aluminuim spacer ring but this has been discontinued. You might have to trim your fuel filler pipe down slightly, getting it in place can be a bit of a faff but stick with it! I little washing up liquid will help get the rubber onto the pipes, just a little though. The cork gasket, as mentioned before, goes on the outside of the car. I did this mod a little while back so if you need any more help drop me a line.
