  1. A stiff rear bar will take weight off the inside wheel and reduce traction in tight corners
  2. I don`t suppose you have a rear anti-roll bar fitted If yes, is it too stiff?
  3. I`m surprised that you can hold one drive shaft still and turn the other if you have a functioning LSD
  4. Yes, that`s what I did (took them off when I got there) Take some Tiewraps and tape with you and a few tools as you may have to make `adjustments` during the test.
  5. What type of drive shafts does it use?
  6. I had problems with the aerial and fob, they are worth checking (If you have them) I had to redo the aerial
  7. One wonders how JK knew where to look!
  8. I don`t like the standard mirrors, they have a limited field of view, so I went to the local Bike shop and bought a pair of nice ones for £20 .....much better field of view and in my opinion, look a lot better.,so you can have my old (15yrs.) ones F.O.C.
  9. I`ve got a couple of spares in the shed.. You can retrieve the `nut` using a screw and then `fiddle` it back together where are you?
  10. I had to shorten my bracket by about 20mm.....took it to the local welder to get it re-welded (stainless steel)....been fine for the last 14 years

  12. Last time I bought one it was F1823388 for the fixed cam belt and F1555720 for the pulley but yours may be different. note :- they do last a long time unless abused....the Caterham `change` interval needs reviewing.
  13. #12....New club `must have` a laser cut key ring washer with `7` logo in the middle for Dzus fasteners...orders?
  14. I think they were originally designed to be turned with a coin so I always carry an M12 washer in my pocket!
  15. As a matter of interest....For road use my `140` fixed cam (146bhp) goes better on the Ford plastic manifold. I have throttle bodies for track use, they add about 7bhp (153bhp) right at the top (7K+) but knock a hole (-11%) in the torque curve just where you need it(4k-5k) for road use. I did my own `head job` which took it up to 135bhp on standard cams, then air box, ECU and SS cams did the rest.......Head job is best first step on engine. Adjustable spring platforms to improve the handling.

  17. Going by the date, isn`t yours a fixed cam engine? It is probably not necessary to go wider on tyres, I`m considering going narrower on the front next time! Has it got adjustable suspension spring platforms? Supersport had different valve springs, retainers, belt tensioner bits, oil catch tank, battery position, air intake etc.. Caterham will reflash the ECU for you. It`s worth getting the head ported (8-10 bhp) (or DIY!) I`ve got a spare pair of non-variable cams......where are you?
  18. Talk to Lewis Hamilton, he had the same problem in Mexico and said `The track was much higher up than we expected, we thought it was at sea level but it wasn`t and it made the motor misfire`.. .....Sorry! Is yours a variable or fixed cam engine? Is the air filter clean? Any manifold air leaks ? cold and wet needs more fuel so if it`s lean to start with it will get leaner.....chug...chug! 3500 is where it starts to `get on the cam`
  19. Sounds a bit like drive train shunt i.e. the rubber/flex in the drivetrain (engine mtgs..gearbox..diff. A frame etc) winding up and releasing.. .. sometimes making your right foot bounce on the pedal. Usual cause is TPS setting error....check voltage and position at closed throttle......but could be many other interesting things!
  20. Was there a Sigma Supersport in 2009? I`ve got the 125 and 150. diagrams
