    On my k-series I have an 82C water thermostat and a fan switch in the top of the radiator that switches the fan on at 95C. I believe it may be switched by the ECU on these new Ford engines.

    Sure Radtec will want to fix it properly. They sound a very reasonable company to deal with

    To put it in medical speak ..... patient is bleeding internally. It is only a bit ..... it doesn't show on the outside ..... does it really need fixing ? Yes, of course .... get it fixed.

    Yes to all of the above. Not difficult to fill the k-series if you have the small hole in the internal plate of the thermostat and a bleed tee in the highest heater hose. Now you know about the leak ... get it fixed ... or put a bottle of something like K-Seal in the expansion tank to seal it.

    Always go back to the supplier. Hopefully this is a simple fix if it is the spigot the hose connects to.

    Second the cap suggestion. Cheap too. Does the fan run in the right direction ? If not, reverse the wires to it.

    I went for http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=400748421329 ... very bright with the lens on the front and fits in the standard sideight bulb holder in the SVC 5.75" headlight.

    I think the 11 in the part number refers to 1.1mm preset gap. So ... leave alone and fit. For those of us brought up on Mini and Cortina engines ... it looks way too big !

    BS538 is only part of the code. In the world of hosereels we used BS538.381C which was cherry red ... so there are probably many variations of shades under BS538
