  1. Thank god I am not alone <waves at SM25T>
  2. Not much goes on here anymore then <tumbleweed>
  3. Redline to the rescue. One is in the post. Those guys are heros.
  4. Hey, 1st post in anger on the new forum and with new name. The rubber mount for my throttle body has split. This is the mounting block between the throttle body and the manifold. I think it is this part: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-MKR10006 But Rimmer Bros list it as unavailable. Anyone any ideas of a source? Don't suppose someone has converted to DTHTBs and got one in the garage Engine is a K-Series. Supersport, front facing TB Thanks
  5. Thanks Guys. Now being a week and a half into Caterham ownership I was considering posting exactly the same question. I have owned lower powered classic sports cars before, but the level of 'skipping' and 'hopping' on my 1.4 K SuperSport while on the less smooth B-roads (i.e. all of them) is fairly startling. I half guessed that "they all do that sir" would be involved, and was learning to hold the wheel more lightly. Can anyone recommend a garage in the Horsham area that can give me sensible advice on the suspension set-up? I have used Robin Lackford in the past ! Also previous owner had a flat floor set-up done, does this need resetting for my size and weight, and if so how urgently. Cheers P
  6. Dave, Many thanks, I know the Caterham.co.uk site but was not aware of the Caterham.uk.com. I wonder why Caterham would not tell me this when I asked to buy one !! The service schedule would be really appreciated you can get me on: Peter.S.Smith@uk.ibm.com Cheers Peter
  7. Just bought the car with no manual. Caterham were not helpful on the phone. If anyone has got one I will buy / cover the cost of photocopying postage Cheers P
  8. ....and paid towards the very bottom end of your budget, only last week. And that was from a Sports Car dealer so got a warrany
  9. Having just hit the streets with a K series after many years of lusting after a Seven, my thought is to buy something solid and conventional - std engine etc. The resale values of Caterhams seem robust enought that if after trying it for a few months and finding you are not happy you can effect a swop without too much financial pain. My 1.4 Series Super Sport is quick enough as an entry to Caterhams and makes a great noise. Six speed gearbox would be better though. P
