    160 wheels

Arthur, check for yourself obviously but that was the wheel spec originally from memory. Scrapyard eBay would be worth a try

    160 wheels

Standard steel wheels are Peugeot 107/Toyota Aygo
  3. Pretty sure they are 3/8 unf thread but as they need to have a head that’s machined down to about 1/8 thick it’s probably easier to just get the ones from caterham or go to redline for them as they are only a couple of pounds for two. Part no 79085FIA
  4. Silencer might be but I’d expect the collector to be shorter on an s3
  5. Would be surprised if they don’t fit as the normal seats are just s3 ones. That said the seat back on the gt looks quite wide so might be a squeeze, the frames underneath I was told are the same though so it might be an illusion. One thing that I remember of the gt seats is that I felt like I sat higher in them. Caterham always recommended lowered floors and I seem to remember in my 21 I felt the wheel and dash were a bit low so might be an issue.
  6. My assumption, incorrectly, was a k series. If duratec individual coils it can be the coil wiring sub loom breaking down. They can fail due to vibration. Might be worth getting the r500 version which is much more flexible wiring than the standard one and trying that
  7. If one is starting to break down with heat, vibration etc and they are the same age chances are they both will start to do it. Just replace them both with new
  8. I guess all this bad mouthing of the Titan has destroyed the saleability of them now? If anyone read the posts on the forums you’d never get one used/rebuilt or new. Obviously the tracsport people are going be happy though. Glad I found a zf when I was looking for one
  9. The mot testers manual still states that only cars first used after 1st August 1975 need emission testing and q plates are taken as pre that date so not tested. I take it that the no visible smoke is still applicable. Black background plates are only allowed on cars manufactured before 1980 now so I guess you could argue the toss that the car is to be tested as pre 75 or 71 but is doesn’t mention q plates being allowed to be like that and the date of manufacture is the date of manufacture.
  10. If the fuel is very old it can cause an incomplete burn and mild misfire that will bugger things up. I had a similar problem with my ordinary car that had sat for ages because of the current situation. A tankful of fresh stuff and a good run and all was ok.
  11. I think normally the only cars going to Australia are the homologated ones so they have already been approved as built. I guess this is a personal import of a pre owned car and so has to jump through a different set of hoops
  12. The second speedo, if you take the grommet out it might have the rows of dip switches to change the cal. Mine looks similar from memory and isnt programmable by the trip button but has the switches behind the grommet
  13. If it happens when you turn the wheel I’d think it might be a faulty clock spring, or whatever the jaguar term is for the rotating connector assembly that goes between the column and the wheel.
  14. I’d try a jaguar forum
  15. I would interpret race as the chassis that were intended for race cars, as they were slightly different to the normal cars and at one point they stayed with under dash handbrakes and round tunnels after the normal ones changed, but could be registered Track would be used to differentiate those cars that didn’t have the parts to fit things required to go on the road. Maybe no handbrake mount brackets, wiper mounts etc. Intended never to be road cars. The perhaps road comment on that just seems that whoever made the list up didn’t exactly know and guessed but unless you know who did I suppose we’ll never know
  16. Digit 7 is R which supposedly is for race chassis. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t on the road but was a race car primarily I guess
  17. I’d just use normal dot 4 and change it occasionally
  18. You need to locate Alastair Westle. He’ll sort something out for you
  19. I would ground the green one independently and try it. The sensor makes its own voltage to produce the signal, if it were going into an ecu it would have the signal to one pin and the other to a ground. That’s what is probably happening in its normal installation. It’s either going to work or not. Can’t hurt the sensor. Don’t connect it to power though
  20. As it’s a 2 wire sensor it’s most likely a vr and so one is a signal and one is a ground. As long as both are connected at both sender and speedo that’s all that matters

    360 - 420

Can’t remember the ins and outs but I expect it depends if you have a Spanish engine or a Mexican engine. There are differences in injectors with the Mexican ones and they maybe fit the same injectors to those as they do the 420 engines when converting to suit the 360. Valve springs would need changing whatever I think though
  22. Vhpd cams were vhpd cams. 280 duration and 10.2mm lift if I remember right They have a little more duration 280 vs 276 and 1mm less lift than 285m cams. 1227 cams apparently have the same duration as vhpd and 11.2mm lift
  23. Manufacturers lock the ECUs to stop people messing around and causing issues then going back and saying something has broken when it’s not a manufacturing problem but something they have caused.
  24. Yes as far as I know that was never officially available. I guess arch did the mount themselves at some point for someone. Hence I was allowed to direct purchase
