  1. We would have used the tool of choice for anything like that, a death wheel.
  2. It would play on my mind if it were my car and I had the ducts not the same both sides? No idea why the LHD pedal box is lowered. Probably to miss something that had to sit there irrespective of drive side at some point in the past. Probably the airboxes when they went to the proper airbox after the aftermarket K&N style.
  3. Back in 2012 ish when we did the 485 development at CTI. We just offered ours up and cut it out. The flange allowed a little bit of error. If you get hold of one I'd get someone with a 485 to measure distances from rear and bottom bonnet flanges and see what happens. The other side, you are on your own really as it wasnt intended for that side and I still think it wont work.
  4. Ok, good luck. I don’t think it will fit upside down and back to front either. It was a long time ago I did the first one so I can’t remember exactly, but it’s shaped in every direction wrong for the other side from what little memory I have of it
  5. I wouldn’t get too excited about the caterham naca ducts if you are hoping to put one on either side. They are quite heavily curved to suit the LHS of the bonnet only.
  6. That’s quite a good gap. Mines probably closer to a quarter inch gap
  7. People seem to value them as high or higher than qed will sell them new.
  8. The mbe doesn’t support obd at all so that thing would not work even if you got an unlocked one
  9. Can’t imagine there will be any wear after that mileage. I’d drain the oil and if it’s not sparkling it’s probably ok. At least fresh oil and then running it for a bit won’t make it any worse really
  10. Bloody hell. Everything locked up and Andrew has hoovered it all up. I only wanted the front discs!
  11. Alan, Is this a front or rear bowl sump?

    Sigma ECU

A car in Cyprus is bound to be an eu spec Ford ecu. Even harder to replace than the mbe. CC is going to be the only place I’d say
  13. I don’t have them, yet, but I’ve seen the pre preg ones and they look good to me.

    Lowered Floor

I saw on one of the Facebook groups the other day someone had a lowered floor supplied and fitted at arch in the last couple of months. It was in the region of £375 per side I seem to remember.
  15. #15 The cars that have been deemed ok are ones that have been sold and tested during development in the USA which has had e10 for a while. No rover engine car has been checked. Might be fine but no manufacturer is going to it might be ok are they?
  16. Not tried it but it looks pretty similar to the old ‘snap off’ wheel bosses that used to be fitted to Elise’s. They worked fine although this might be a bit bulky behind the wheel. Worth a look but if you get all parts it’s a costly option
  17. If they are Cosworth pistons then I guess you have enquired there? It’s probably a standard Cosworth ring pack of the relevant bore size?
  18. The cats can fail, melt, from wot but usually only if it’s been set up too lean in the first place. They don’t normally melt with a good rich mixture going through to keep them cool. A severe misfire can also make them overheat and melt. If there are excessive pops and bangs on the over run this is more likely to cause one to break up.
  19. Smaller manufacturers won’t have gone through the testing to check as they buy their engines from a large manufacturer normally anyway. Anything from the US will probably be ok as they have been using ethanol supplementally for a long time.
  20. It had all Land Rover products from 1996 as ok so that covers a standard k series engine. Obviously not necessarily the other bits caterham fitted up to the fuel rail though
  21. I’ve seen an S3 with CSR rears on so they would probably fit an SV but as mentioned the fronts are a very different offset to the normal 15” wheels.
  22. It might be a wiring fault between the sender and the ecu.
  23. Rj, you may have investigated this already but it could be worth seeing if in the setup cal you can swap to em3 or em4 for the cam as they are sometimes Hall effect if em1 and 2 are vr with efi stuff. Does depend on which unit you have obtained but worth a check

    Various Bits

I’d like the super sport plug cover.
  25. Andrew, I have a brand new eu3 plastic manifold here that you could have but obviously it’s not going to get there for this weekend. If your man wants to buy it if that one is no good I could get it to you early part of next week.
