  1. I got a specific vvc one from arch so the vvc type plenum would fit under the bonnet so such a thing exists. Albeit at a price. Turned out the one I had was almost the same anyway and I still had to trim and adjust to get everything to miss everything else
  2. Not sure if this was aimed at me but this is what I was told. It was done for aesthetics primarily, keep both sides looking the same as that was what was wanted. I think they did try to use it to duct cooling air into the pedal box but it wasn’t very successful. That’s the story I was given by someone from the factory so I see no reason to disbelieve it.
  3. No one seems to make proper badges anymore. Lotus enamel are available but they are knocking on for £100 now. You’ll be doing well for a nos much less than the £80 that one is up for if it’s the one I’m thinking of. He was open to offers
  4. Interested in the 711 block if 1600. I’ll pm you my email if you can send over a picture or two please. Let me know what sort of price you were thinking Cheers Simon
  5. That’ll probably happen when DP sees a pig fly past his office window lol Could have sworn I did the reply to #5? Oh well
  6. Ordered one. Will save having to feed the pretty useless dipstick back in each time.
  7. Could try the graduates website. Not that I can get it to work today lol. They have good priced sigma cars on there usually. If you don’t mind doing a bit of tidying that is
  8. That particular naca duct was purely done for the intake to the airbox for the 485. It’s no worse than the teardrop vent but we needed a bigger hole that was in a different place to fit it all in. It’s surface mounted because they didn’t want a raw metal edge showing
  9. Got to laugh at the ‘normal’ descriptions. No warning lights on the dash? Lol. There’s plenty of tread as the tyres have only done 500 odd miles since they were fitted, in 2008. That alone is enough to give some people on here palpitations!
  10. Are you on the faceache? A chap was selling his car as a project and the engine separately. Was a 2.3
  11. Ok. I’ll pass for now thanks.
  12. I can’t say I’d be able to tell if it would be suitable or not from a picture. Is there a part number on the kit if it’s still bagged? The rover one is BS03K according to caterham site. They have several different ones based on each engine type. Probably cable lengths mainly but I don’t know
  13. Hi Nick I’ll have the master switch kit assuming it’s for a rover set up? Cheers Simon
  14. Probably they are screwed over by all the lockdown crap like everyone else
  15. That airbox has suddenly ended. No doubt another dodgy eBay seller that sold it outside of the bids process. Very tiresome when they do that
  16. Unless someone has written one off then Japan I guess is the only place as none of it was from cars that came from the uk.
  17. Don’t know what more you can do but I’d be a bit concerned about sand getting into the pump. Can’t remember if there’s a filter at the tank outlet I downloaded the manual as a pdf ages ago. Just screenshoted the oil flow page
  18. The dry sump, caterham type anyway, has the feed into the side as you know then a dowel type arrangement goes between the pan and into where the pick up does normally. Then it’s flow is just as a normal k
  19. Interested in throttles. I am assuming k series. Message sent
  20. £20 seems fair to me. Couldn’t find one for ages when I was looking
  21. Same bloke had a caterham motorsport one up at a £100 not long ago!
  22. Beyond getting them replated a good wire brushing and spray them will make them look ok
  23. Should be an interference fit. Probably heated and then slid on when the joint is made. Have heard of them coming loose before. Might be able to push it back into place and with some decent loctite get it to stay put
