    thanks for that, very interesting, so the question is how do I do the same to my S3 R400? I guess the biggest benefit comes from the wings but would they fit? Do they require different wingstays and are the wheels a different offset? R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here

    Ah now I see from those pics that it has what looks like an air filter bonnet cut out on both sides, must be purely for cooling purposes. Funny is that a Raceline exhaust on there, looks identical to mine 😳 R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here

    ah but I have the wide rear CR500s, don't know what rolling diameter they are, anyone? would also like to know the rolling diameter for 8" ACB10s?   11. so we need a fuel rate which would drain a full tank (36 litres) in 25 minutes? ( without the overhead that Peter suggests) So for example if I were at full throttle in 5th (on an oval for example) doing 140mph I'd run out of petrol in 25 minutes and cover 58 miles at 12.7mpg - sounds a bit optimistic on the mpg to me 😬 R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here

  15. ah ok thanks Brent - I meant to email you a bit of info I found out at brands a couple of weeks back, Dave Townley was there and he has a Cosworth SV and was running the larger/wider CSR wheels with CR500s and he tells me they fit just fine on the SV so that would seem an easy option for you, sadly they don't fit the S3 chassis/suspension....   16. Following from the previous similar thread does anyone know if an R400 fule pump (from a 2004 car) is sufficient for a 280bhp-ish 8 injector 2.3l duratec? OK spoke to Steve @ SPC and he suggested the following for my 280bhp 2.3l Duratec revving to 7,500 - 8,000RPM and used 80% of the time on track: - SPC 5 Speed Clubman box - Semi Helical gears - Quaife Alloy casing What's the consensous, a good choice? Spoke to Len Unwin @ Quaife today about the new 5 speed synchro box rated to 375bhp but unfortunately the earliest this will be available is September - don't care how good it is I can't bare to be off the track that long 😬 R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
