For around a year now I've had an intermittent problem where the stack flashes up a low battery warning. It seems to be related to revs, ie. at low revs it doesn't do it but when I get to around 4,000 or above the warning flashes up. If I carry on driving it like this then eventually it'll drain the battery to the point that there's not even enough current to power the stack let alone the engine.
I know the first port of call is to check the connections on the alternator, which I have done and after squeezing the female connectors tight this seems fine but the problem persists, what's the next think to check?
Strangely, and I presume unrelated, today when I tried starting it (after charging the battery) it turned over fine but wouldn't catch, then I realised I couldn't hear the fuel pump so checked the fuse which was fine, I then wiggled the other fuses and realised that when I move the 'dipped beam' fuse the pump started again - so obviously the labels on the fuese bare no relation to their functions
Can anyone help with this as electrics really aren't my strong point, I don't have a clue 😳
thanks
